Abstract

 トランジスタ(12)、画素電極(17)および信号線(15・16)並びに該信号線の欠陥を修正するための予備配線(8a・8b)が形成されたアクティブマトリクス基板と、コモン電極(対向電極)が形成されたカラーフィルタ基板と、これら両基板間に設けられた液晶材とを備えた液晶パネル(10)において、予備配線(8a・8b)はそれぞれ、該予備配線(8a・8b)に発生した不所望の電荷を逃すための保護回路(9)とシール(6)とを介してカラーフィルタ基板のコモン電極に(電気的に)接続されている。該構成によれば、予備配線に生じた不所望の電荷に起因する不具合(例えば、予備配線と信号線の予期せぬ短絡)を低減することができる。
