Abstract

 車両にコンパクトに荷重検出用のセンサを設置できて、車輪にかかる荷重を感度良く検出でき、量産時のコストが安価となるセンサ付車輪用軸受を提供する。この車輪用軸受は外方部材1と内方部材2の間に複列の転動体5を介在させた車輪用軸受であって、外方部材1および内方部材2のうちの固定側部材に歪みセンサ21を取付ける。歪みセンサ21は、歪み発生用部材22と、この歪み発生用部材22に取付けられたセンサ素子23とからなる。歪み発生用部材22は、外方部材1に設けられたフランジ面に対する第1の接触固定部22aと外方部材の周面に対する第2の接触固定部22bとを有し、これら両接触固定部22a,22bを連接する連接部22cは、折れ曲がり部22eが外方部材1側に近づく向きに中途部で折れ曲がったものとする。センサ素子23の歪み発生用部材22への取付箇所を、連接部22cにおける折れ曲がり部22eよりも第1の接触固定部22a側で、かつ折れ曲がり部22eの近傍とする。
