Abstract
A system for using an up-draught comprises a tubular up-draught tower (4) having a height difference, and a translucent collector roof (1) which extends in a planar manner adjoining and at least partially surrounding the up-draught tower (4) and defines an air space (150) linked to the up-draught tower (4). An insulating layer (58) which reduces transfer of heat into the underlying surface (31) is provided on the underlying surface (31) surrounding the collector roof (1). Furthermore, sensors (36) are provided for measuring the moisture content of the air in the air flow in the air space (150). The system can advantageously be used to produce current, to obtain drinking water and salt and also to produce rain.
