In this way, the inlet 71 may be enlarged over the whole width of the shelf 2 for increasing the amount of received cooling air 16 as shown in Figure 1.
  • portions 61 and 62 of the fitting device 6 may be provided with a light reflecting means 68 for directing light of the lighting device 3 which is radiated towards the bottom surface 22 of the shelf in a direction away from the bottom surface 22 into the display space 15 illuminating the goods stored therein. Accordingly, the amount of light which is emitted from the lighting device 3 may be reduced, for example by an amount of 10%, without reducing the overall illumination emitted into display space 15. As a consequence, the power required by the lighting device 3 may be reduced so that less heat is produced by the lighting device, improving the cooling properties of the storage apparatus.
  • the special shaping and forming of the fitting or mounting device 6 and the integrated discharging openings 67 in inclined portion 64 of the fitting device 6 allow the transport of generated heat away from the shelf 2 improving the ventilation in the rearward portion 17 of the front plane 23.
  • the invention provides some kind of improved ventilation system between the lighting device 3 and the shelf 2 for improving the cooling of goods stored on the upper surface 21 of the shelf.

  • the air duct 81 comprises a nozzle which is adapted for directing a stream of air towards the bottom surface 22 of the shelf.
  • the nozzle 81 is attached to the rear plane 25 of the shelf and advantageously comprises means 81 1 for a snap-in-attachment for easy mounting of the nozzle to the shelf, as shown in Figure 2b.
  • the flow of cooling air 16 provided alongside the rear panel 13 of the display case attains the outlets 14 and enters into the nozzle 81 through a respective opening in the rear plane 25 of the shelf to be directed to- wards the bottom surface 22 of the shelf so that the stream of cooling air may reach the lighting device 3 placed on the opposite side of the shelf as discussed.

  • a plurality of openings 83 are provided in the rear plane 25 of the shelf forming an air duct for directing a stream of cooling air alongside the bottom surface 22 of the shelf.
  • Figure 5 shows a particular embodiment of a storage apparatus 1 according to the invention combining the different embodiments described herein before. It is to be noted that the different types of air ducts 81 , 82 and 83 may be combined with each other as shown, or may be used alternatively or in a different arrangement depending on the particular application.
  • At least one air duct such as 81 , 82, 83, loc- ated in or adjacent to a portion of the shelf which abuts against a rear panel of the display case may be applied independently of the application of a lighting device at the front, such as that described herein before, for improving the cooling properties of a storage apparatus for the storage of goods which require refrigeration.
  • Such air duct directs a flow of cooling air towards the bottom surface of the shelf, so that a uniform distribution of cooling air may be achieved alongside the bottom surface of the shelf. Accordingly, goods stored on the shelf are evenly cooled independent from the respective location.
  • Such air duct may advantageously be realized in the form of the nozzles 81 and/or 82, and/or in the form of the openings 83, but is not limited in this regard.
  • a storage apparatus having such air duct may be provided with any kind of shelf, which shelf does not necessarily require a front plane defining a space for arranging a lighting device in a rearward region of the front plane. Rather, according to the respective application, the stream of cooling air may leave the shelf horizontally or vertically in the viewing area of the display case (the front area of the shelf). In other words, the design of the shelf is not of particular relevance with respect to this aspect of the invention.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de stockage (1) comprenant au moins une étagère (2) qui présente une surface supérieure (21) destinée à supporter des produits nécessitant une réfrigération et une surface inférieure (22), ainsi qu'un dispositif d'éclairage (3) destiné à éclairer un espace (15) prévu sous l'étagère, le dispositif d'éclairage étant monté sur l'étagère. L'étagère (2) est dotée d'un plan avant (23) disposé à la transversale des surfaces supérieure et inférieure (21, 22) de l'étagère, le plan avant définissant un espace (17) pour disposer le dispositif d'éclairage dans une région arrière du plan avant. Un conduit d'air (7) est disposé entre le dispositif d'éclairage (3) et l'étagère (2) pour amener un flux d'air de refroidissement (16) entre le dispositif d'éclairage et l'étagère, le conduit d'air comprenant une admission (71) pour recevoir le flux d'air de refroidissement et une évacuation (72) écartée de l'admission à proximité du plan avant (23) ou adjacente à ce dernier pour évacuer l'air de refroidissement chauffé par le dispositif d'éclairage. L'invention permet de réduire la charge thermique dans une zone de l'étagère située au-dessus du dispositif d'éclairage.
