Abstract
Selon l'invention, une détermination d'un analyte avec une précision accrue est obtenue par détermination électrochimique d'une concentration en analyte initiale, mise en oeuvre d'une pluralité de cycles de commutation ampérométriques/potentiométriques, observation d'une caractéristique du signal au cours de chacun de la pluralité de cycles de commutation, détermination d'une valeur moyennée pour la caractéristique du signal, et correction de la valeur de mesure initiale afin d'arriver à une valeur de mesure finale de concentration en analyte ou de rejet de la valeur de mesure initiale en fonction de la valeur moyennée de la caractéristique du signal. La caractéristique du signal qui est observée n'est pas per se indicative de la quantité d'analyte présente dans un échantillon. Elle est plutôt une caractéristique du signal qui reflète la qualité des électrodes, l'étendue de remplissage de la cellule électrochimique ou les caractéristiques de l'échantillon autres que la concentration en analyte tel que les niveaux d'oxygène ou l'hématocrite.
