  • Sealing caps are known in the art, for example obtained by moulding, which are directly screwed on the threaded end of the radiator element. Such caps are hexagonal shaped for allowing locking thereof by a wrench. They are made of metal and are coated prior to being assembled on the radiator.

  • they exhibit aesthetic shapes, typically hexagonal, limited by the need of being gripped by a wrench; moreover, after being tightened by wrench, the caps often lose their coating in several points. In fact, the coat is removed at the points of contact with the wrench, generating totally unacceptable aesthetic imperfections.
  • the cap coating following the assembly thereof is sometimes carried out for preventing such disadvantages, but such operation is complex to be carried out and often leads to coating inaccuracies as well as to the cap gluing on the relevant end.

  • projections 28 are arranged along an outer circumference of the collar relative to the bush, so as to facilitate the tightening operation of cap 4 on the end.
  • the gripping elements 24 comprise at least two projections 28 arranged in diametrically opposite positions relative to each other and preferably the gripping elements 24 comprise two pairs of projections 28 diametrically opposite to each other .

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un bouchon étanche (4), destiné à des éléments de radiateur, qui se place à l'extrémité des éléments de radiateur en vue de la fermer hermétiquement. Le bouchon (4) se monte et se serre facilement sur l'extrémité, puis, une fois monté, celui-ci ne présente aucun défaut de revêtement ou dégât visible. Le bouchon (4) permet aussi de monter facilement des soupapes d'échappement ou de raccorder des conduits avec d'autres éléments sur l'extrémité du radiateur.
