Abstract
The invention relates to a thermolysis catalyst for internal combustion engines, especially for gas turbines, jet engines, reciprocating engines, rotary-piston engines and firing plants. The catalyst forming a combustion chamber jacket of the internal combustion engine comprises two interspaced, concentrically arranged hollow cylinders (2, 3) enclosing a space (1). The walls of the hollow cylinders, defining the space, are provided with a metal coating (4) for dissipating the combustion heat to which the inner hollow cylinder is subjected. The outer hollow cylinder (3) is provided with an inlet (5) for supplying water, an outlet (6) for the discharge of oxyhydrogen gas, and a temperature sensor (8) for controlling the water supply.
