L'invention concerne un revêtement poudreux ignifuge pour structures en acier et son procédé de préparation, qui appartient au domaine des techniques d'enduction. Les matières premières pour la préparation du revêtement poudreux ignifuge comprennent une résine polyester, une résine époxy, un agent de durcissement, un catalyseur, un agent de carbonisation, un agent moussant, un adjuvant d'expansion, un agent renforçant, un inhibiteur de fumée, un agent flexibilisant, un agent de nivellement, un agent dégazant, un agent d'écoulement, des pigments et des matières de remplissage. Le revêtement poudreux ignifuge peut être préparé à l'aide des étapes qui consistent à faire fondre la résine polyester, la résine époxy, le catalyseur, l'agent de formation de carbone, l'agent moussant, l'adjuvant d'expansion et l'agent de nivellement ensemble et à extruder, puis à mélanger avec les autres composants, puis à extruder à l'état fondu, pastiller et écraser, puis à pulvériser avec un broyeur ACM, tamiser et emballer pour obtenir le produit résultant.
