Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wärmetauscher für Kraftfahrzeuge, beispielsweise Ladeluftkühler oder Kühlflüssigkeitskühler, bestehend aus Rohren (1), die aus jeweils zwei Platten (1a, 1b) gebildet sind, die zwei gegenüberliegende Längsseiten (L1 , L2) und zwei gegenüberliegende Schmalseiten (S) aufweisen, wobei eine der Längsseiten (L1 ) die Anströmseite (A) für beispielsweise Kühlluft darstellt, und bestehend aus zwischen den Rohren (1 ) angeordneten Wärmetauschrippen (2) oder dergleichen, durch die die Kühlluft frei hindurchströmt, und bestehend aus Sammelräumen (3), die an den Enden (4a, 4b) der Rohre (1) bzw. der Platten (1a, 1 b) ausgebildet sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass wenigstens das eine Ende (4a) der Rohre (1 ) in der von der Anströmseite (A) entfernten Längsseite (L2) mündet und dass das andere Ende (4b) der Rohre (1) entweder ebenfalls in der entfernten Längsseite (L2) oder in der die Anströmseite (A) bildende Längsseite (L1) oder in einer der Schmalseiten (S) mündet. Der Wärmetauscher weist vergleichsweise größere wärmetauschende Flächen auf.
