Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of roofing elements such as those used in low pool shelters and including adaptations to improve transparency and reduce weight. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
- the roof elements may be such as those proposed in document FR 2776000 which describes a pool roof element structure of the type of those each consisting of a cover formed of panels of translucent material such as double-walled polycarbonate and a rigid frame, light and resistant to support the transparent cover, said frame being formed of arches arranged in transverse planes and bridged by cross members with two extreme lateral cross members delimiting two borders to the roof element. These two lateral edges rest on the longitudinal edges of the basin defining a bearing surface to said roof elements.
- roof elements have the disadvantage of using as a translucent panel of double-walled cellular polycarbonate.
- This cellular polycarbonate is expensive and does not offer the best possible transparency since it consists of at least two sheets interconnected by partitions.
- the thickness of such a cellular material defines a bulk which must be solved during the transport of these panels.
- the roof element of the type of that composed of a panel of material retained inside a frame is remarkable in that it is composed of a panel of material a single wall and at least one tensioning means connected to the chassis tending to separate certain constituent parts of the chassis in order to power up said panel, the chassis being composed of two transverse sections fixed on two opposite sides of the panel the tensioning means tending to separate said profiles, the edges of the panel subjected to a tensile force and slid into the profiles being equipped with at least one projection facilitating the transmission of this force, the profile itself being preformed to retain this projection in the direction traction force.
- This feature is particularly advantageous in that it allows the use of a single wall panel despite its lack of rigidity. It is so possible to use any material likely to be placed in a frame and able to withstand the tension force to which it will be subjected. Turning on the panel prevents it from sagging in case of expansion due to weather conditions.
- the panel is transparent or not. Indeed, the feature allows the use of non-cellular panels single wall perfectly transparent. The transparency of the material used for the panel allows to see through and offer an opportunity to view inside the pool protected by the roof which is particularly safe. This security feature could not be implemented for panels of the prior art that were dimpled and could only be considered translucent.
- the use of a single wall panel reduces the weight of the structure and requires less space for storage or transport.
- a specificity of the invention is to associate the frame or the frame supporting the flexible and transparent panel, a tension means tending to separate certain constituent parts of the chassis to maintain said panel tension.
- this roofing element consists of two transverse sections attached to two opposite sides of the panel and interconnected by cross members at least one of which comprises a tension means tending to separate said sections.
- the power can be performed for each element ensuring the connection between the two sections, that is to say for each cross.
- the profiles in which the panels slide are conventionally curved and form arches, each end of which rests on the edge of the basin.
- the two extreme lateral crosspieces which delimit two borders to the roof element and which rest on the longitudinal edges of the basin defining a bearing surface to said roof elements.
- the edges of the panel subjected to a tensile force, slid into the profiles are equipped with at least one projection facilitating the transmission of this effort.
- the profile is itself preformed to retain this projection in the direction of the tension force.
- a first embodiment proposes that at least one end of a cross member slides transversely relative to the profile and comprises at least one tensioning means composed of a housing in which is housed a spring that bears against said profile tending thus to remove the cross section of the profile.
- a second embodiment proposes that the cross member equipped with a tensioning means is divided into two parts capable of moving relative to each other and interconnected by a slide connection controlled by a spring.
- the material of the single wall panel is polycarbonate.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic drawing of a perspective view of an embodiment of a low pool enclosure composed of the roof elements according to the invention
- FIG. 2 is a schematic drawing of a partial sectional view of a roof element adopting a first embodiment of the tensioning means
- FIG. 2a is a schematic drawing of a section of a detail of said tensioning means
- FIG. 1 is a schematic drawing of a partial sectional view of a roof element adopting a second embodiment of the tensioning means.
- FIG. 1 illustrates an embodiment of a pool cover referenced as a whole ensuring the coverage of a pool referenced B.
- This shelter comprises a plurality of roof elements E.
- Each roof element E consists of a panel of material 100 retained inside a frame 200.
- This frame 200 consists of two curved profiles 210 and 220 transverse interconnected by the panel 100 and by crosspieces 230 arranged under the panel 100. Two extreme end crosspieces 231 and 232 defining two edges for the roof element E.
- the roof element E comprises a panel 100 made of a single solid wall material and a means voltage tension linked to the chassis tending to energize said panel 100 which is flexible because of its thickness and its dimensions.
- the material used is transparent.
- this material is transparent polycarbonate.
- This polycarbonate is associated with an aluminum frame.
- the polycarbonate is in the form of a sheet having a thickness of between 1.4 and 2 millimeters which allows the deformation of its edges and which has a flexibility allowing it to follow the curvature of the transverse arches but which causes an arrow longitudinal which must be solved by means of tension.
- at least one cross member 230 comprises a tension means tending to move said sections 210 and 220 which retain the flanges of the panel 100 and thus to tension said panel 100.
- each panel edge is preformed to present a C-shaped edge that is positioned in the profile 210 and 220 so that its branches come on either side of a lug 211 and 221 provided for this purpose in the profiles. 210 and 220.
- said panel 100 can not be released from said profiles 210 and 220 in a longitudinal translational movement, that is to say in the direction of the tension force.
- the cooperation between this return 110 and the lugs 210 and 220 formed inside the sections 100 ensures the good transmission of the tensile force exerted by the tensioning means 300.
- At least one end of a cross member 230 slides transversely along the double arrow F2 relative to one of the profiles 210 and comprises at least one tension means 300 consisting of a housing 310 in which is housed a spring 320 which comes to bear against said profile 210 thus tending to move the cross member 230 away from the profile 210.
- said housing 310 adopts the shape of a cylindrical tube which is fixed to the crossmember 230 and at one end of which is disposed a stop 311 on which the spring 320 bears and whose another end is open to allow the spring 320 to bear on said profile.
- the position of the stop 311 is adjustable inside the casing 310 in order to ensure the adjustment of the force exerted by the spring.
- said stop 311 is threaded and is in helical connection with the housing 310 to move axially inside thereof.
- the end of the spring 320 which bears on the profile 210 or 220 is associated with a stop 321.
- each cross member comprises a chassis tensioning means.
- the two extreme lateral crosspieces 231 and 232 forming edges are equipped with a tensioning means 300 and the crosspieces 230 between the two end rails are equipped with two tensioning means 300.
- An embodiment of the fixing the two tensioning means at the end of a cross member 230 is illustrated by the drawing of Figure 2a.
- two tubular housings 210a and 310b are arranged on either side of the crossmember 230 being associated with a profile 312 internally retaining the outer profile of the crossmember 230 for its positioning and fixing on the latter.
- the crosspieces 230 are of rectangular profile and are slidably connected at one end and fixedly at the other end to the transverse sections 210 and 220 by means of "T" pieces 400 provided for this purpose.
- the cross member 230 equipped with a tensioning means 300 is divided into two parts 231 and 232 capable of moving along the double arrow F2 with respect to the other and interconnected by a slide linkage controlled by a spring constituting the tensioning means 300.
- the two ends of the cross member are then fixedly connected to the transverse profiles 210 and 220.
- said tensioning means 300 consists of a female element 330 associated with a first portion 232 of crosspiece 230 cooperating with a male element 340 associated with a second portion 231 of crosspiece 230.
