[0008] 高速下りパケットアクセス技術 HSDP Aでは、適応変調技術 AMCS (Adaptive Mod ulation and Coding Scheme)が採用されている。 AMCSとは、高速パケットデータ伝 送を効率的に行うために、各移動局装置の伝搬路状況である下り受信品質指標 CQ I (Channel Quality Indication)に応じて、下りリンクの共用データチャネル HS— PDS CHのデータ変調多値数、誤り訂正方式、誤り訂正の符号化率、データ変調多値数 、時間'周波数軸の符号拡散率(SF : Spreading Factor)、マルチコード多重数など無 線伝送パラメータを切り替える方式である。また、ハイブリッド自動再送 (HARQ : Hyb rid Automatic Repeat reQuest)を採用している。移動局装置は、受信した通達確認 情報である ACKZNACK (Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement)、及び 受信品質指標を個別制御チャネルを通じて基地局装置にフィードバックしている。
[0009] W— CDMAの個別チャネル DPCHにてコンプレストモードが適用されて、異周波 数 Z基地局装置の監視 (測定)が行われる場合、下りの共用データチャネル HS— P DSCHにおいても基地局装置との間でデータ伝送ができなくなるため、その異周波 数 Z基地局装置の監視が行われるギャップ区間に相当する HS— PDSCHの区間 には所望移動局装置宛てのパケットデータ割り当てが行われない。基地局装置側で は、ギャップ区間が生成されるのに先立ち、共用制御チャネル HS— SCCHを用いて 下りの共用データチャネル HS— PDSCHのデータの割り当ての停止を移動局装置 側へ指示する。この指示を受けた移動局装置は、前述したように、図 17で示したギヤ ップ区間を生成し、異周波数 Z基地局装置の監視 (測定)を行う。

EUTRAの下りリンクとして、 OFDM A (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexin g Access)方式が提案されている。 EUTRA技術として、 OFDMA方式に AMCS技 術が適用されて ヽる (非特許文献 3、非特許文献 4参照)。
EUTRAでは、下りリンク無線フレームの構成、無線チャネルのマッピング方法が提 案されて!ヽる (非特許文献 4参照)。
[0011] 図 18は、 3GPPの提案に基づく EUTRAの下りリンク無線フレーム構成、無線チヤ ネルマッピングの例を示す図である。下りリンク無線フレームは、周波数軸の複数サ ブキャリアのかたまりで周波数帯域幅 Bchと時間軸のサブフレーム間隔 TTI (Trasmi ssion Timing Interval,以降 TTIと称する)による 2次元の複数無線リソースブロ ック RB (Resource Block)により構成されている。 BWは下りリンク周波数帯域幅、 Bchは複数無線リソースブロック RBの周波数帯域幅、 Bscはサブキャリア周波数帯 域幅、 Tsは OFDMシンボル長を表す。
[0012] 図 18に示したように、共通パイロットチャネル CPICHは、各サブフレーム間隔 TTI の先頭にマッピングされ、報知チャネル BCHと同期チャネル SCHは、各無線フレー ムの先頭のサブフレーム間隔 TTIにマッピングされて!/、る。各無線リソースブロック R Bの残りの一部はトラフィックチャネル TCHとして使用し、適用変調技術 AMCSを用 いて各移動局装置 (移動局装置 1、 2、 3)にマッピングされる。
EUTRAZEUTRANの同一の無線アクセス技術間のハンドオーバである Intra— RAT-HO (Intra -Freq-HO)と異なる無線アクセス技術間のハンドオーバであ る Inter— RAT— HO (Inter -Freq-HO)を行う際に異なる周波数 Z基地局装置 の監視 (測定)を行うギャップ区間の制御方法として、高速下りパケットアクセス技術 H SDPAと同様に基地局装置及び移動局装置のシグナリング制御によるギャップ区間 の制御方法と、移動局装置の下り受信品質指標である CQI瞬時値 (Instantaneous
CQI Sample)の測定及び基地局装置へのフィードバックによる自律的なギャップ 区間の制御方法 (Autonomous Gap Control Method)が提案されている(非 特許文献 5)。
[0013] 図 19のグラフ Glは自律的なギャップ区間の制御方法を示す。移動局装置は共通 パイロットチャネル CPICHを受信し、一定の CQI間隔(CQI Interval)で CQI瞬時 値を測定し、基地局装置に報告する。同時に移動局装置は一定の周期 (システムパ ラメータ)で CQI瞬時値を平均し、 CQI平均値 (Mean CQI)を算出する。移動局装 置では、測定した CQI平均値は、システムパラメータの CQI閾値と比較し、 CQI閾値 より大きい場合は、通常モード NM (Normal Mode)に設定し、 CQI閾値より小さい 場合は、異なる周波数 Z基地局装置の監視 (測定)ための測定モード MM (Measur ement Mode)に設定する。測定モード MMにおいて、測定した CQI瞬時値が CQI 平均値より小さ!ヽ場合、接続して!ヽる基地局装置周波数での受信及び Zまたは送信 を停止し、ギャップ区間を生成する。
[0014] 基地局装置では、移動局装置と同様に CQI瞬時値の報告を受け、該当移動局装 置の CQI平均値を算出する。算出した CQI平均値は、システムパラメータの CQI閾 値と比較し、 CQI閾値より大きい場合、通常モード NMに設定し、 CQI閾値より小さい 場合、異なる周波数 Z基地局装置の監視 (測定)のための測定モード MMに設定す る。測定モード MMにおいて、測定した CQI瞬時値力 平均値より小さい場合、接 続している該当移動局装置宛てのパケットデータ送信を停止し、ギャップ区間を生成 する。図 19に示したように、移動局装置は、異なる周波数あるいは基地局装置の監 視 (測定)が完了した後に、ギャップ区間を終了し、 CQI瞬時値の測定及び基地局装 置への報告を再開する。その後も、同様な処理を繰り返す。
図 19のグラフ G1の部分拡大図をグラフ G2、 G3に示す。グラフ G2ではギャップ区 間は生成されて ヽな 、様子を示して 、る。グラフ G3では複数のギャップ区間が連続 して生成される様子を示している。グラフ G1に示すように、基地局装置及び移動局 装置では、 CQI瞬時値により通常モード NM、測定モード MMに切り換えられ、そし てギャップ区間の開始 Z終了を自律的に制御ができる。

その方法は、 CQI閾値と CQI平均値を比較し、 CQI平均値力 閾値を下回って V、ることを判定条件とする測定モード MMの判定を行 、、更に測定モード MMにお いて CQI瞬時値力 平均値より低くなつた場合にギャップ区間の生成を行うという 方法である。この方法では、図 20の CQI値の時間変化の例に示した X、 Y領域にあ るギャップ区間のように、 CQIの測定後に CQI瞬時値が上昇して CQI平均値を上回 つている CQIの特性が良い区間であっても、その区間開始時の測定で CQI瞬時値 力 平均値を下回っているとギャップ区間が生成される。
[0016] また、移動局装置と基地局装置との間の無線状態に応じて、 AMCSと数 msの周期 で動作するスケジューリングを組み合わせることで、個々のユーザに対するスループ ット、及びシステム全体のスループットを向上させるようにできるようになつている。スケ ジユーリングのアルゴリズムとしては、 Round Robin (以降 RRと称する)スケジユーリ ングゃ Maximum CIR (以降 Max CIRと称する)スケジューリング、 Proportional Fairness (以降 PFと称する)スケジューリング (非特許文献 6)などが知られている。

Max CIR^ケジユーリングは、基地局装置に属する移動局装置の中で、下りリンク の通信品質が一番の良好な移動局装置に対して割り当てを行うスケジューリング方 法である。その為、システム全体のスループットは高くなる力 基地局装置から近い位 置にいる移動局装置に割り当ての多くが行われ、基地局装置殻から遠い位置にいる 移動局装置に対して割り当てがあまり行われず、移動局装置間での不公平性が高い 特徴がある。
[0018] PFスケジューリングは、下りリンクの瞬時の通信品質と時間平均した下りリンクの通 信品質の比が最大になる移動局装置に対して割り当てを行うスケジューリング方法で ある。図 21は PFスケジューリングによる割り当て例を示す図である。図 21に示す区 間 A、 Bにおいては、 CQI瞬時値および CQI平均値は、移動局装置 2よりも移動局装 置 1の方が大きいが、 CQI瞬時値と CQI平均値の比力 移動局装置 1よりも移動局装
置 2の方が大きいため、移動局装置 2が割り当てられている。 PFスケジューリングで は、 Max CIRスケジューリングに比べ、システム全体のスループットは低くなるが、 R Rスケジューリングの様に各移動局装置に対して時間的な公平性が高い特徴がある

発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0020] 解決しょうとする問題点は、非特許文献 5に示す EUTRAZEUTRANの Intra— RAT— HO (Inter— Freq— HO)、 Inter— RAT— HO (Inter— Freq— HO)を行う 際のギャップ区間の設定方法にあっては、図 20の X、 Y領域のような CQI特性が改
善されるような場合においてもギャップ区間が設定される。このため、移動局装置の 下りリンクに割り当てられる可能性のある領域までギャップ区間となることで、下りリン クの割り当てが行われない期間が長くなる場合があり、そのような場合には、移動局 装置のスループットが極端に下がったり、 QoS (Quality of Service)を満足できな くなつたりして、通信効率が悪くなるという問題があるという点である。
課題を解決するための手段
[0021] 本発明の移動局装置は、通信している基地局装置と通常の通信状態にある通常モ ードと、前記基地局装置との通信およびのハンドオーバの対象となる基地局装置の 監視を行う状態にある測定モードの 2つのモードを判断するモード判定部を備える移 動局装置において、前記モード判定部は、受信品質指標の閾値と、通信中の周波 数の受信品質指標の特性値とに基づき、通常モードとするか測定モードとするかを 判定することを特徴とする。

発明の効果
[0031] 本発明の移動局装置および基地局装置は、受信品質指標の閾値および受信品質 指標の特性値に基づき、通常モードとするか測定モードとするかの判定をするので、 受信品質指標の特性が改善されるような場合に測定モードに成り難い。したがって、 移動局装置に下りリンクの割り当てが行われない期間が長くなることもなぐ優れた通 信効率で、通信することができるという利点がある。
また、本発明の移動局装置および基地局装置は、受信品質指標の瞬時値と平均 値の大小関係と、受信品質指標の特性値とに基づき、ギャップ区間とする力否かの 判定をするので、受信品質指標の特性が改善されるような場合にギャップ区間に成り 難い。したがって、移動局装置に下りリンクの割り当てが行われない期間が長くなるこ ともなぐ優れた通信効率で、通信することができる。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
以下、図面を参照して、本発明の実施の形態について説明する。
[第 1の実施形態]
本実施形態における下りリンク無線フレームの構成、無線チャネルのマッピングは、 図 18に例示したような、背景技術でも述べた EUTRAZEUTRANで提案されて ヽ
る下りリンク無線フレームの構成、無線チャネルのマッピング方法と大綱において同じ である。
下りリンク無線フレームは、周波数軸の複数サブキャリアのかたまりで周波数帯域幅 Bchと時間軸のサブフレーム間隔 TTI (Trasmission Timing Interval、以降 TTI と称する)による 2次元の複数無線リソースブロック RB (Resource Block,以降 RB と称する)により構成されている。
[0035] 共通パイロットチャネル CPICH (Common Pilot Channel、以降 CPICHと称す る)は、各サブフレーム間隔 ΤΠの先頭にマッピングされ、報知チャネル BCH (Broa dcast Channel、以降 BCHと称する)と同期チャネル SCH (Synchronization C hanneU以降 SCHと称する)は、各無線フレームの先頭のサブフレーム間隔 TTIに マッピングされて 、る。各無線リソースブロック RBの残りの一部はトラフィックチャネル TCHとして使用し、適用変調技術 AMCSを用いて各移動局装置にマッピングされる 移動局装置は、初めて電源が入る場合、同期チャネル SCHを受信し、キャリアオフ セット、 OFDMシンボルタイミング、無線フレームタイミング、サブフレーム間隔 TTIタ イミング、セル番号グループ(Cell Group Index) Z番号(Cell Index) (例えば、 スクランブルコード番号グループ Zスクランブルコード番号)などの同定を行う。その 後、報知チャネル BCHにより基地局装置の固有情報などシステム報知情報を受信し 、位置登録を経て、待ち受けモード ΊΜ (Idle mode)に入り、下りリンクのページング インジケータチャネル PICH (以降 PICHと称する)の監視、周辺基地局装置監視を 行う。基地局装置から着信がある場合、移動局装置は PICH及びページングチヤネ ル PCHなどを通じて、無線接続手順を経て、基地局装置と接続し、アクティブモード AM (Active mode)に入り、下り受信品質指標である CQI瞬時値の測定、フィード ノ ックを行う。基地局装置は各移動局装置の CQI瞬時値を受信し、下りトラフイツクチ ャネル TCHの各無線リソースブロック RBにパケットデータの割り当て(パケットデータ のスケジューリング)を行う。

基地局装置は、無線部 10、上りリンク復調部 11、下り CQI受信品質指標である CQI
の CQI記憶部 12、 CQI測定部 13、通常モード NMと測定モード MMに関する NM ZMM判定部 14 (モード判定部)、 GAP判定部 15 (ギャップ判定部)、制御データ抽 出部 16、スケジューリング部 17、データ制御部 18、 OFDM変調部 19から構成され る。

データ制御部 18は、スケジューリング部 17からの指示により制御データを報知チヤ ネル BCH、同期チャネル SCH、パイロットチャネル CPICHにマッピングし、各移動 局装置に対する送信データをトラフィックチャネル TCHにマッピングする。 OFDM変 調部 19は、データ変調、入力信号の直列 Z並列変換、拡散符号及びスクランブリン グコードの乗算、 IFFT (Inverse Discrete Fast Fourier Transf orm;逆 叙 高速フーリエ変換)変換、 CP (Cyclic Prefix)挿入、フィルタリングなど OFDM信号 処理を行い、 OFDM信号を生成する。また、スケジューリング部 17から渡された AM C (Adaptive Modulation and Coding;適用変調技術)情報の変調方式で各サ ブキャリアのデータ変調を行う。無線部 10は、 OFDM変調されたデータを送信用の 無線周波数にアップコンバートして、移動局装置に送信する。
[0038] また、無線部 10は、移動局装置からの上りリンクのデータを受信し、ベースバンド信 号にダウンコンバートして、受信データを上りリンク復調部 11、下り受信品質指標であ る CQI測定部 13に渡す。 CQI測定部 13は、上りリンクパイロットチャネル力も無線伝 搬路特性を推定し、上りリンクのスケジューリングを行うために無線伝搬路推定結果 をスケジューリング部 17 (上りリンクスケジューリング部 20)に渡す。上りリンク復調部 1 1は、移動局装置が行った変調データの復調処理を行う。尚、上りリンクの通信方式 は、 DFT-spred OFDMや VSCRF— CDMAのようなシングルキャリア方式を想 定して 、るが、 OFDM方式のようなマルチキャリア方式でも力まわな!、。
[0039] 制御データ抽出部 16では、復調された受信データをユーザデータ (各ユーザデー タ)と制御データに分離する。制御データの中で下りリンクの CQI情報は CQI記憶部 12に渡される。下りリンク及び上りリンクのスケジューリングに関する制御データはス ケジユーリング部 17に渡される。その他の制御データは、上位層に渡される。 CQI記
憶部 12は、移動局装置から送られた CQI瞬時値を記憶し、更に CQI平均値、平均 C QI曲線を算出する。算出結果と CQI瞬時値を通常モード NMZ測定モード MMの モード判定手段である NMZMM判定部 14に渡す。 NMZMM判定部 14は測定モ ード MMの判定を行い、算出結果と CQI瞬時値を GAP判定部 15に渡す。 GAP判 定部 15はギャップ区間の判定を行 、、算出結果と CQI瞬時値をスケジューリング部 1 7に渡す。
[0040] スケジューリング部 17は、下りリンクのスケジューリングを行う下りリンクスケジユーリ ング部 21と上りリンクのスケジューリングを行う上りリンクスケジューリング部 20から構 成され、下りリンクスケジューリング部 21は移動局装置力も通知される下り受信品質 指標である CQI瞬時値、 GAP判定部 15から渡される CQI平均値、 MM判定結果、 GAP判定結果や上位層からの通知される各ユーザのデータ情報から下りリンクの各 チャネルにユーザデータをマッピングする為のスケジューリングや各データを変調す る為の AMCを算出し、上りリンクスケジューリング部 20は、 CQI測定部 13からの上り リンクの無線伝搬路推定結果と移動局装置力ものリソース割り当て要求から上りリンク の各チャネルにユーザデータをマッピングする為のスケジューリングや各データを変 調する為の AMCを算出する。

[0061] 第 1から第 3のいずれの実施形態でも、 Intra - RAT - HO (Inter - Freq - HO) 、 Inter— RAT— HO (Inter— Freq— HO)の為のギャップ区間制御を想定している 1S EUTRAZEUTRANでは、異なるシステム周波数帯域(例えば l. 25MHz、 2 . 5MHz、 5MHz、 10MHz、 15MHz、 20MHz)を有する基地局装置に対して、異 なる通信能力の周波数帯域(例えば 1. 25MHz, 2. 5MHz、 5MHz、 10MHz、 15 MHz、 20MHz)の移動局装置を収容することができる。図 22は、一例として、基地 局装置のシステム周波数帯域が 20MHz、移動局装置の周波数帯域が 5MHzの場 合の移動局装置の配置例である。移動局装置は、同じ基地局装置周波数帯域内の 自移動局装置に割り当てられた周波数帯域以外の周波数帯域の監視を目的とした ギャップ区間制御も行うことができる。具体的には、移動局装置 Aは、ギャップ区間を 生成した場合に、同じ基地局装置周波数帯域内の移動局装置 B、 C、 Dの周波数帯 域を監視'測定し、結果を基地局装置に通知して、基地局装置周波数帯域内の別の 周波数に移動を行うことにも適用できる。

本発明は、セルラ移動通信システムにおいて、同一の無線アクセス技術のセル間ま たは異なる無線アクセス技術のセル間をハンドオーバする移動局装置、基地局装置 、移動通信システムに用いて好適である力 これに限定されない。
Claims
[1] 通信している基地局装置と通常の通信状態にある通常モードと、前記基地局装置 との通信又はハンドオーバの対象となる基地局装置の監視を行う状態にある測定モ ードの 2つのモードを判断するモード判定部を備える移動局装置において、
前記モード判定部は、受信品質指標の閾値と、通信中の周波数の受信品質指標 の特性値とに基づき、通常モードとするか測定モードとするかを判定することを特徴と する移動局装置。
[2] 前記受信品質指標の特性値は、受信品質指標の平均値の増減傾向であることを 特徴とする請求項 1に記載の移動局装置。
[3] 請求項 1に記載の移動局装置と通信する基地局装置であって、
受信品質指標の閾値と、通信中の前記移動局装置から得られる受信品質指標より 算出された受信品質指標の特性値とに基づき、前記移動局装置が通常モードにある か測定モードにあるかを判定するモード判定部を備えることを特徴とする基地局装置
[4] 前記受信品質指標の特性値は、受信品質指標の平均値の増減傾向であることを 特徴とする請求項 3に記載の基地局装置。
[5] ハンドオーバの対象となる基地局装置の監視を行うギャップ区間を持つ移動局装

少なくとも通信中の周波数の受信品質指標の特性値に基づき、ギャップ区間とする か否かを判定するギャップ判定部を備えることを特徴とする移動局装置。
[6] 前記受信品質指標の特性値は、受信品質指標の瞬時値と平均値の差分と、受信 品質指標の平均値の増減傾向とであることを特徴とする請求項 5に記載の移動局装 置。
[7] 前記受信品質指標の特性値は、受信品質指標の平均値の増減傾向と、受信品質 指標の瞬時値の増減傾向とであることを特徴とする請求項 5に記載の移動局装置。
[8] 少なくとも通信中の移動局装置力 得られる受信品質指標より算出された受信品質 指標の特性値に基づき、前記移動局装置に送信しないギャップ区間とする力否かを 判定するギャップ判定部を備えることを特徴とする基地局装置。
[9] 前記受信品質指標の特性値は、受信品質指標の瞬時値と平均値の差分と、受信 品質指標の平均値の増減傾向とであることを特徴とする請求項 8に記載の基地局装 置。
[10] 前記受信品質指標の特性値は、受信品質指標の平均値の増減傾向と、受信品質 指標の瞬時値の増減傾向とであることを特徴とする請求項 8に記載の基地局装置。
