Abstract

The present invention relates to a sealing station of a packaging machine, characterized in that an upper film (10) is sealed onto a lower film (9). The sealing station comprises an upper tool (4) and a lower tool (3), at least the lower tool being vertically displaceable by a lift system from a lowered to a raised position and vice versa, a sealing plate (5) as well as longitudinal nozzles (6) for performing the gas exchange between the upper and the lower film. A part (6) of the longitudinal nozzle is arranged between the upper (4) and the lower tool (3) and configured as a flat nozzle.
