Abstract

Procédé d'application à demeure, via l'urètre, d'un marqueur de référence dans la prostate, ce marqueur permettant d'orienter avec précision un faisceau de traitement sur une tumeur cancéreuse. Un cathéter comprenant un conduit et un marqueur de dé référence disposé dans ce conduit et pouvant s'y déplacer est introduit dans l'urètre et inséré au travers de la prostate. Grâce au guidage au moyen du marqueur de référence, un dispositif passe du conduit dans le cathéter et/ou une membrane recouvrant partiellement ou totalement le cathéter, et est inséré dans le tissu glandulaire entourant le cathéter ou l'urètre. Ensuite, le marqueur avance à l'aide de moyens le long des moyens de pénétration et de guidage et est entraîné par les moyens mobiles, avec guidage par les moyens de guidage et de pénétration, dans ledit tissu glandulaire pour application à demeure. L'instrument utilisé à cette fin comprend un cathéter (9) assorti d'un conduit (11), un marqueur de référence (7) disposé dans le conduit, des moyens (12) assurant la pénétration et le guidage comme indiqué, et des moyens (14) permettant de déplacer le marqueur de référence. Cet instrument peut aussi s'utiliser pour la mise en place à demeure d'un marqueur de référence dans d'autres tissus.
