Description

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING COMPATIBILITY
BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to methods for determining a compatibility level between two entities.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
When two people meet, for example, in a social or business context, it is often difficult for each of them to determine to what extent they are compatible with each other. One method for dealing with this situation is to allow people to meet only after they have passed a compatibility test. For example, in a dating service, an individual provides information relating to the desired traits sought in a prospective mate, in response to which the service provides the individual with a list of one or more persons from its database having the desired traits.
One method for assessing compatibility of personality types or matching individuals, utilizes astrological parameters. For example, personal data (e.g. date of birth, time of birth and place of birth) relating to each one of a pair of individuals are used to evaluate astrological parameters in order to generate a score indicative of the compatibility of the two individuals. US Patent No. 5,775,695 to Byers provides an astrological method for evaluating a degree of astrological attractiveness between an individual referred to as "the requesting player" and one of a plurality of subject players. Information relating to the requesting player is compared with information relating to the subject players for determining the degree of astrological attractiveness between the requesting player and each one of the subject players. If the degree of astrological compatibility between the requesting player and one of the subject players exceeds a pre-selected threshold, the personal information of that subject player is provided to the requesting player. United States Patent Application No. 2006/0167944, to Baker, discloses a system and method for the automated notification of compatibility between real-time network participants. The method and system is or using predetermined preferences/characteristics to ascertain personal compatibility between network or chat room participants based upon profile information. When the system determines that these preferences are favorable for interpersonal compatibility, the system will automatically notify or page the participants so as to facilitate their introduction. Further functionality, aside from the compatibility based upon profile information, includes e- mail and other electronic notification of personal compatibility as well as geographic compatibility. United States Patent Application No. 2006/0003294, to O'Brien, discloses a method for determining social timing. The method provides an astrosync heuristic for determining social timing relative to any relationship between two people. Social timing refers to the advisability of an individual's interaction with another person and includes the changing levels of dynamic receptivity and dynamic assertiveness of each individual and the affect of this interaction at any given time. The present invention utilizes the fast-orbiting moon and its aspect with one or more natal planets to determine a person's recommended social timing and interaction style.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In one of its aspects, the present invention provides a method and system for determining a compatibility level between a first individual, referred to herein as "the user" and a second individual, referred to herein as '"the partner" at a planned or proposed meeting involving the two. In accordance with this aspect of the invention, the user provides information relating to him/herself as well as information relating to the partner. Information relating to a planned or proposed meeting is also provided by specifying the value of one or more variables relating to the meeting, such as the scheduling (date, time and/or place) of the meeting, and/or the nature of the meeting (romantic, social, sexual, business, creative, etc.). For each of the two individuals (the user and the partner), the input data relating to the individual and the meeting are used to generate a vector of numerical scores of the individual. Each component of the vector is a numerical score of the individual's state with regard to a different category at the planned or proposed meeting. The categories may be related to his/her state, for example, sexual, romantic, mental condition, interpersonal communication, intellectual, social, creative, business, physical, emotional and self-confidence. A compatibility level of the user and the partner at the proposed meeting is then obtained in a calculation involving the pair of vectors. For example, in one embodiment, the compatibility level is calculated by summing all of the user's scores together with all of the partner's scores into a single compatibility level.
In one embodiment of the invention, an individual's vector of scores is obtained by using an astrological or numerological chart generator to translate the input data into an astrological chart for the individual. The individual's vector of scores is then obtained from his or her generated chart by any method known in the art of astrology. For example, it is known in the art of astrology to calculate angles between planets in the chart that are used to obtain a state of the individual.
In another embodiment of the invention, an individual's vector of scores is obtained using a method known as "Biorhythmus". For example, a Biorhythmus method is available at http://www.tay-tec.de/biorhythm/biorhythrn-applet.de.html. In this method, the date of birth of an individual may be entered with the date of the planned or proposed meeting. In response, the chart generator generates a numerical score of the individual for each of the categories "physical", "emotional", and "intellectual". This vector of scores characterizes the individual's physical, emotional, and intellectual state at the planned or proposed meeting. In another of its aspects, the invention provides a method and system for ranking two or more planned or proposed meetings between a user and a partner. In accordance with this aspect of the invention, for each of the two or more planned or proposed meetings, a compatibility level is calculated for the user and partner at the meeting, and the planned or proposed meetings are ranked according to the compatibility level calculated for each meeting. A proposed meeting having a maximal compatibility level between the user and the partner of the meeting may then be identified.
In a further of its aspects, the invention provides a method and system for ranking two or more partners for a planned or proposed meeting with the user. In accordance with this aspect of the invention, for each of the two or more partners, a compatibility level is calculated for the user and the partner at the planned or proposed meeting, and the partners are ranked according to their compatibility level with the user at the meeting, and a partner having a maximal compatibility level with the user at the meeting may then be identified. In yet another of its aspects, the invention provides a method and system for ranking two or more pairs consisting of a partner and a planned or proposed meeting. In accordance with this aspect of the invention, for each of the two or more pairs consisting of a partner and a planned or proposed meeting, a compatibility level is calculated for the user and the partner at the planned or proposed meeting, and the pairs of partner and a planned or proposed meeting are ranked according to their compatibility level, and a pair having a maximal compatibility level may then be identified.

Some embodiments of the present invention disclose a system and method for providing at least one indication of an optimized meeting time for a user and a partner. Fig. IA shows a system 1 for providing information, including any one or more of: personalized information, reference information, such as, but not limited to, astrological information, bioenergy information from Biorhythmus, Tarot, Kabala or other energy- defining methodologies, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention.
By "bioenergy" is meant the hypothetical vital force is often referred to these days as the bioenergetic field. Touch therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and many other alternative practitioners suggest that they can affect cures for many ills by "manipulating" this field, thereby bringing the body's "live energies" into balance.
Chi or qi remains the primary concept in traditional Chinese medicine, still widely practiced in China and experiencing an upsurge of interest in the West. Chi is a living force (bioenergy) that is said to flow rhythmically through so-called "meridians" in the body.
Bioenergetic Analysis is a body-oriented psychotherapy based on the expression of feelings and the re-establishment of energy flow in the body.
By "Biorhythmus" or Biorhythmics is meant a protoscientific branch or a pseudoscience, depending on opinion, that studies biorhythms or deal with biorhythrns. Biorhythmic study focuses on physiological, emotional, and intellectual processes and its forecasting. Biorhythm phenomena are observable human conditions which can be detailed and explained by biorhythmics. These conditions are bound by the variables that exist in the body. By "tarot" is meant a a set of cards displaying allegorical representations.
Originally used as playing cards, they later came to be used for divination and personalized predictions. By "Kabalah" is meant a mystical doctrine concerning G-d's simultaneous immanence and transcendence, an attempted resolution to the ancient paradox of how the ultimate Being — "that which is not conceivable by thinking" nevertheless comes to be known and experienced by the created world. By "Astrology/" is meant a group of systems, traditions, and beliefs in which knowledge of the relative positions of celestial bodies and related details is held to be useful in understanding, interpreting, and organizing information about personality, human affairs, and other terrestrial events.
The system 1 comprises a central processing unit (CPU) 6. One or more input devices allow a user 2 to input data that is transmitted over a communication network indicated by the cloud 4 to the CPU 6. The communication network 4 may be, for example, a computer network as shown in Fig. 1, such as the Internet, an intranet, a local access network or a wide access network. In this case, the user 2 is provided with a computer terminal 11 and the input device may be a keyboard 8 or a computer mouse 10. Alternatively, the network may be a telephone network such as a PSTN or a cellular network, in which case the input devices are telephones. Data are entered into the system by the user 2 using any one of the input devices 8 and 10. The CPU 6 stores the input data in an entry 14 of a memory 12. Additional data may be input to the entry 14 by accessing a database interface 16 of a database 18 that may be remotely located to the CPU 6, as shown in Fig. 1, such as a database of an online dating service, or by accessing a database associated with the CPU 6.
In accordance with the invention, the input data includes information regarding each of one or more planned or proposed meetings involving the user 2 and each of one or more partners. The input data relating to the user and the data relating to each of the one or more partners may include for example, the individual's name, and the time and location of birth. The data relating to each of the one or more meetings may include, for example, one or more proposed schedulings (dates and times) of the meeting, and the nature of the meeting (romantic, social, sexual, business, creative, etc.).
The CPU 6 includes a processor 20 that is configured to calculate, for a given pair consisting of a partner and the user for a planned or proposed meeting, a compatibility level for the user 2 and the partner at the meeting, based upon the input data relating to the partner and the meeting. Fig. 2 shows a flow chart for a method of calculating a compatibility level for the user 2 and a partner at a planned or proposed meeting, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention. In step 21, the processor 20 runs an astrological chart generator with data relating to the user and the meeting that were previously stored in the memory 12. The chart generator generates an astrological chart for the user, that is used in step that is used in step 22 to generate the user's a vector of astrological scores reflecting the user's astrological condition at the proposed or planned meeting. In step 24, the processor 20 then runs the chart generator with data relating to the partner and the meeting that were previously stored in the memory 12, and the partner's vector of astrological scores is obtained in step 26. In step 28, the processor calculates a compatibility level of the user and the partner in a calculation involving the user's and partners vector of scores. For example, the compatibility level may be calculating by summing all of the user's scores with all of the partner's scores. Finally, in step 30, the calculated compatibility score is transmitted to the user 2 over the network 4, and the process terminates. In some cases, the score will be provided to the user in system 1 together with a scale of reference (not shown), such that the score may/may not reach a required threshold to justify a meeting with the partner.
The processor 20 may also be configured to determine for each of two or more partners, the compatibility level of the partner with the user at a particular planned or proposed meeting. As shown in Fig. 3, data are recalled from the memory 12 relating to the user (step 32), and the planned or proposed meeting (step 34). In step 36, data relating to a partner is recalled from the memory 12. Then, in step 38, the compatibility level of the user and the partner at the planned or proposed meeting is calculated, for example, using the method explained above in reference to Fig. 2. In step 40 it is determined whether a compatibility level of another partner with the user at the planned or proposed meeting is to be calculated. If yes, then the process returns to step 36 with the new partner's data being recalled from the memory 12. Otherwise, the process continues in step 42 with the partners being ranked according to their compatibility level with the user at the planned or proposed meeting. In step 44, a partner of maximal compatibility level with the user at the planned or proposed meeting is identified from among the two or more partners.
In some cases, the score(s) will be provided to the user in real time in system 1 together with a scale of reference (not shown), such that the score of the one ore more potential partners may/may not reach a required threshold to justify a meeting with the user. It should be understood that the scoring system may find maxima and/or minima in accordance with matching methods known in the art.
Finally, in step 46, the compatibility levels of the partners and the identified partner of maximal compatibility level are transmitted over the network 4 to the user.
The processor 20 may also be configured to determine for each of two or more planned or proposed meetings, the compatibility level of a particular partner with the user at the planned or proposed meeting. As shown in Fig. 4, data are recalled from the memory 12 relating to the user (step 52), and the partner (step 54). In step 56, data relating to a planned or proposed meeting is recalled from the memory 12.- Then, in step 58, the compatibility level of the user and the partner at the planned or proposed meeting is calculated, for example, using the method explained above in reference to Fig. 2. In step 60 it is determined whether a compatibility level of the partner with the user at another planned or proposed meeting is to be calculated. If yes, then the process returns to step 56 with data relating to the new planned or proposed meeting being recalled from the memory 12. Otherwise, the process continues in step 62 with the planned or proposed meetings being ranked according to the compatibility level of the partner with the user at the meeting. In step 44, a planned or proposed meeting at which the user and partner have maximal compatibility level is identified from among the two or more planned or proposed meetings. Finally, in step 66, the compatibility levels of the meetings and the identified meeting of maximal compatibility level are transmitted over the network 4 to the user.
Additionally, system 1 may be operative to determine the nature of the meeting according to the bioenergy level of the user and of the partner at each meeting or proposed meeting time. As is explained further hereinbelow in connection with Fig. IB, system 100, may provide at least one of the user and the partner with an automated text, indicating the best content or type of meeting, based on the personal information and astrological and/or bioenergy status of the user and/or of the partner. For example, if the user has a relatively high bioenergy level at a certain first selected time, the nature of the meeting may be defined for the user by system 1 to have a greater physical/eniotional/sexual content than that of a meeting at a time when his bioenergy level is low. However, if at the first selected time, the bioenergy level of the partner is low, the content will be changed to match that of the partner, for example to bioenergy stimulating content and thus system 106 may generate a text to the user to suggest a concert or cinema, to reflect the low bioenergy of the partner. It should be understood that system 100 may be operative to provide content to the user and/or partner to match his/their bioenergy. For example, system 100 may provide several options for the meeting at the first selected time, such as, a) a rock concert; b) a final tennis game; c) a thriller film, or any other adrenaline-stimulating event to increase the bioenergy of the partner and the personalized information of the user and partner. Additionally, system 100 may suggest a second selected time for a meeting of the user and partner, when the bioenergy of both the user and the partner is relatively high. In such a case, a meeting having physical/emotional/sexual content will be recommended to the user and partner.
Alternatively, if the nature of the meeting is business rather than personal, the system may suggest mat the second selected time is a good time to close a deal.
The processor 20 may optionally be configured to generate one or more astrological and/or numerological products for the user based on any astrological charts generated during the process, such as a daily horoscope and forecast. The forecasts and/or recommendations may be given for a predetermined period or time frame such as the coming week, month, etc., according to specifications determined by the service operator or the users.
The processor 20 may optionally access a database of textual answers 70 stored in the memory 12 for each possible pair of a user's vectors of scores and a partner's vector's of scores. The textual answer database 22 consists of a series of matrices or look-up tables that provide, for each aggregate score, textual data. The textual data is transmitted to the user over the network 4. Each aggregate score may have several possible textual answers in the database 22 with similar or identical meanings in order to provide textual content that is fresh and new. The system may randomly select which of the answers to transmit to the user. In preparing the forecasts and recommendations, the method may take into consideration any other elements of astrology and/or numerology from a separate database, and factor them into the analysis to increase astrological and numerological accuracy. The additional elements may be for example: Void of Course. This refers to the shifting of the moon from one sign to another. This is regarded as a period in which events tend to be more uncertain and uncontrollable and is regarded as a time in which it is recommended to avoid decision making, etc. This transition occurs approximately every 30 hours and lasts about 3 hours. The system may calculate void of course states and recommend not holding meetings or interactions during them.
Position of the Moon. The system takes into consideration the date and time of birth for both the user and the partner. According to astrology, the period exactly before the time of birth is not recommended for holding meetings. Sign Compatibility. A database of existing knowledge regarding general compatibility between signs (e.g. compatibility of male Virgo with female Scorpio, etc.). The system may include insight and information from this database into the overall process.
Sign-Specific Data. A database of existing knowledge regarding each of the signs' approach to factors such as relationships, romance, etc. This information may also be factored in to the end report and analysis.
The processor 6 may also be configured to generate recommendations to the user for a proposed or planned meeting, such as what type of location to meet, what to wear, or how to act before and during the meeting. Reference is now made to Fig. IB, which is a simplified illustration of a system
100 for providing at least one indication of an optimized meeting time for a user and a partner, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention. System 100 comprises four subsystems, namely a) a system for providing information 1, which may be similar or identical to system 1 of Fig. IA as described hereinabove. System 1 may provide any one or more of: personalized information, reference information, such as, but not limited to, astrological information, bioenergy information from Biorhythrnus, Tarot, Kabala or other energy-defining methodologies.
Additionally, system 1, according to some embodiments, is a system for user- defined communication between authenticated users over at least one public communication network, comprising user-defined communication between authenticated users over at least one public communication network, comprising a computerized system in communication with the at least one public communication network, the system being configured and operative to provide a database of data relating to a plurality of users and configured to verify at least some of the data so as to authenticate an identities of at least some of the users; and wherein the system is further configured to allow at least two of the authenticated users to communicate over the at least one public communication network. Additionally, system 1 allows, according to some further embodiments, allows for methods for user-defined communication between authenticated users over at least one public communication network, comprising: providing a database of data relating to a plurality of users in a computerized system, the system being in communication with the at least one public communication network; verifying at least some of the data so as to authenticate an identity of at least some of the users; and allowing at least two of the authenticated users each to at least partially communicate over the at least one public communication network. In some cases, providing the database comprises permitting the plurality of users to enter user-associated data.

According to some embodiments, the providing step further comprises processing all the IDSs to construct the database at least in part.
Often, the verifying step comprises verifying the IDS of each user. In some cases, verifying the IDS further comprises determining a level of confidence based on the degree of identity between data on the user entered by different users. According to some embodiments, the level of confidence is determined as a percent data identity. In some cases, a high level of confidence is a level above 90%. In some further cases, a high level of confidence level is at least 95%.
Some embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method wherein the user is authenticated at a confidence level of at least 95%. According to some embodiments, the verifying step substantially eliminates a false identity. The false identity may be, in some cases, selected from an intentionally false identity, a non-intentional false identity; a joke; and a borrowed identity. Thus, unlike prior art methods, the users identity in system 100 are authenticated system users, such that information such as their birth dates, place of birth, name, marital status and additional personal information have been pre-verified. Thus, the reliability of applications of methods of matching the pre-authenticated users, relative to prior art systems, is much higher. Furthermore, the chance of making an optimized match between two users, for optimizing the type of meeting and meeting content between them should lead to a high success rate as at least some of their astrological and other data is verified.
