Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung (2; 20) zum Koppeln von Lichtwellenleitern (8, 9, 12). Die Vorrichtung (2; 20) zum Koppeln von Lichtwellenleitern (8, 9, 12) umfasst mindestens ein Aufnahmeelement (4; 22) zum Aufnehmen einer Kassette (5; 23), wobei die Kassette (5; 23) relativ beweglich zu dem mindestens einen Aufnahmeelement (4; 22) mit diesem verbunden ist und die Kassette (5; 23) mindestens ein Halterungselement (38) für ein Kopplungselement umfasst, an dem mindestens einer der Lichtwellenleiter (8) und mindestens ein weiter der Lichtwellenleiter (9) verbindbar sind, wobei das mindestens eine Aufnahmeelement (5; 22) ausgebildet ist, nur die eine Kassette (5; 23) aufzunehmen, und zwei Führungsvorrichtungen (30, 31) umfasst, die eine Zuführung des mindestens einen der Lichtwellenleiter (8) und mindestens eines weiteren der Lichtwellenleiter (9) zu der Kassette ermöglichen, wobei die zwei Führungsvorrichtungen (30, 31) ein Eintreten des mindestens einen der Lichtwellenleiter (8) und des mindestens einen weiteren der Lichtwellenleiter (9) in unterschiedlichen Richtungen in das Aufnahmeelement (4; 22) gestatten. Bei dem Verfahren werden der einen Kassette (5; 23) der mindestens eine der Lichtwellenleiter (8) und der mindestens eine weitere der Lichtwellenleiter (9), die aus unterschiedlichen Richtungen auf das mindestens eine Aufnahmeelement (4; 22) zulaufen, jeweils über verschiedene der zwei Führungsvorrichtungen (30, 31 ) zugeführt und der mindestens eine der Lichtwellenleiter (8) und der mindestens eine weitere der Lichtwellenleiter (9) an dem Kopplungselement der Kassette (5; 23) verbunden, das an dem Halterungselement der Kassette (5; 23) angeordnet wird.
