- Sensor devices for monitoring locks are known and further description of the sensor itself is therefore unnecessary. It will be appreciated that any suitable sensor can be used, provided that it is suitable for incoiporation into a modular unit.

- the lock when the lock is manufactured, it may be equipped either with a sensor module or, alternatively, with an empty casing module which occupies the recess. Where the lock is manufactured with the sensor module in situ, all that the fitter is required to do is to fit the lock as normal. Where the lock is supplied with an empty casing module in place of the sensor module, the empty casing module can be removed and replaced by the sensor module. After attachment of the sensor module into the recess, the lock assembly can be fitted in the normal way.

Abstract
La présente invention se rapporte à un ensemble serrure à mortaiser pour porte, qui comprend un logement, un mécanisme de verrouillage disposé au moins partiellement à l'intérieur du logement, et une pluralité d'éléments d'emplacement s'étendant depuis la paroi arrière et destinés à indiquer une position permettant de former, dans la porte, un évidement conçu pour recevoir l'ensemble serrure. D'autres fonctions non limitatives permettent à l'installateur de la serrure de définir la puissance de ressort qui doit être conférée à la poignée de la serrure à mortaiser, tout en lui évitant de devoir transporter deux serrures différentes. Une autre fonction non limitative se présente sous la forme d'un module capteur externe, qui permet d'ajouter un microcontact ou un autre capteur sans que ces derniers doivent être placés à l'intérieur de la serrure.
