Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kugelgelenk, beispielsweise für ein Achssystem eines Kraftfahrzeugs, sowie ein Verfahren zur Verschleißmessung an einem Kugelgelenk. Das Kugelgelenk weist ein im Wesentlichen ring- oder topfförmiges Gelenkgehäuse (1) auf, in dessen im Wesentlichen zylinderförmigem Innenraum eine Kugelschale (2) angeordnet ist. In der Kugelschale (2) ist die Kugel (3) eines Kugelzapfens (4) gleitbeweglich aufgenommen. Ferner weist das Kugelgelenk eine Sensoreinrichtung (7) zur Messung von Kräften bzw. Belastungen auf. Das Kugelgelenk zeichnet sich erfindungsgemäß dadurch aus, dass die Sensoreinrichtung (7) auf einer biegeelastischen Platine (6) angeordnet ist. Die Platine ist biegebeweglich im Gelenkgehäuse (1) befestigt, wobei die Sensoreinrichtung (7) für die Messung von Durchbiegungen bzw. mechanischen Spannungen der Sensorplatine (6) eingerichtet ist. Dabei umfasst das Kugelgelenk Übertragungsmittel, mittels derer bei einer Verformung der Kugelschale (2) eine Kraft bzw. ein Biegemoment in die Sensorplatine (6) eingeleitet wird. Das erfindungsgemäße Kugelgelenk ist robust sowie kostengünstig herstellbar und erlaubt die Messung von Kräften bzw. von auf das Kugelgelenk einwirkenden Belastungen. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren erlaubt eine permanente Feststellung des Verschleißzustandes des Kugelgelenks mittels Messung der Vorspannkraft der Kugelschale.
