Definitions
- a console normally consists of rigid material so that it cannot be removed without more ado when it is not to be used.
- the invention presents a flexible console that does not occupy space or has other disadvantages, e. g. esthetic, when it is not used.

- Fig. 12 is a perspective view of a patio of mosquito net supported and un- and up-rolled by two parallel consoles.
- the preferably outwardly decreasing cross-section of the console vary from one or two hose cross- sections to a normal cross-section of a corresponding console of rigid material .
- the up-rolling is achieved either by agitation by a spring or by exploitation of the elastic bending- and torsional deformation that takes place during the unrolling.
- the structure requires an straightening-out as well as a supportive force.
- the straightening-out force in a curved hose is equal to the difference between the outward force, Pl, and the inward force, P2 , i.e. largely the product of the pressure, p, and the difference between the areas of the outer and inner halves of of the hose, proportional with second power of the hose radius, r, Fig. 1.
- the outward half may be made larger and/or the inward half smaller.
- the wall of the hose is made accordion-shaped, Fig. 2. Control with the loose movements of the hose may be obtained by means of longitudinal diagonal reinforcement fastened to the edges of the zig-zag shape or an enveloping elastic hose of rubber or plastic.
- the accordion-shape opens up the possibility of smaller hose radius (r) , smaller coil radius (R) and shorter folded hose length.
- the coil of hose is placed on the wall (1) in Fig. 4 and the supportive wheel (6) is edged, for example 8-edged as shown, and the hose consists of two mutually independent layers (4) and (5)
- the innermost hose (5) is conducting the pressure and very flexible. It may for instance consist of rubber only reinforced by symmetrical diagonal longitudinal reinforcement in two directions .
- the outer hose (4) with considerably larger diameter than the innermost hose (5) may absorb the necessary pressure when the innermost hose expands during the unfolding of the coil of hose, but is not connected with the source of pressure.
- the load capacity besides the pressure depends on the resistance moment, in particular determined by its
- the height is obtained by means of one hose whose both ends are connected with the source of pressure and placed at a distance above each other. This distance determines the resistance moment at the wall (1) . Corresponding to the moment, the moment of resistance gradually decreases toward the unrolled end of the console where the roll of hose is unwound.
- the design in particular is aimed at avoiding pre-shaping of the hose coil and in stead base the winding of the hose on its torsional resistance.
- (17) is mounted on the connting pipe (8) by meanns of a torsioal spring (13) that is also bearing for (8) .
- the windings of the spring alternately follow the outer surface of (8) and the inner surface of (17) , and its ends are fastened to (8) and (17) , respectively.
- Rolls for instance formed by spring coils (14) , are placed between the other half of the pipe (18) and the connecting pipe (8) , so that the half (10) of the hose agitates the pipe (8) in the same rotational direction as (12) .
- the pipes (17) and (18) are supplied with vertical edges (16) . If necessary the vertical part of the hose is supported by means of a pipe (15) enclosing the hose and resting on the pipe (5) . At the joint with (5) the underside of (15) is removed so that the hose can turn during the unfolding.
- tensional side (10) and the pressure side (12) may be connected by a cord (31), Fig. 7.
- a vertical sliding rod (7) exerting a constant pressure on the fluid in the hose by means of a weight is mounted in the vertical pipe (16) mounted on the wall (1) .
- the console consists of a flexible sheet of airtight material, for instance transparent plastic, (20), Fig. 8 - 12, that from a rigid basis (23) is inflated pneumatically for formation of a closed longitudinal space with outwardly gradually decreasing cross- section of rounded, mainly circular (fig. 10), oval, triangular, rectangular (Fig. 12) or other suitable geometrical shape that possibly is reinforced by flexible cross- connections (29), Fig. 12, and on the upper side of the console is supplied with one or more longitudinal springs (21) that automatically rolls the console together for formation of a roll (20), Fig. 11, at the base (23) when the inside pressure decreases .
- a flexible sheet of airtight material for instance transparent plastic
- Fig. 8 - 12 that from a rigid basis (23) is inflated pneumatically for formation of a closed longitudinal space with outwardly gradually decreasing cross- section of rounded, mainly circular (fig. 10), oval, triangular, rectangular (Fig. 12) or other suitable geometrical shape that possibly is reinforced by flexible cross- connections (29),
- the cone shape may be completely symmetric or, as here, asymmetrical so that the mosquito net (2) along the side of the cone hangs completely vertical to the wall (1) .
- the outermost ends of two parallel consoles (27) may be connected by a rod (39) .
- a vertical pulley (25) On the outermost end of each longitudinal spring (21), Figs. 8-9, may be placed a vertical pulley (25) with relatively large diameter that via a cord (24) is connected to the nearest corner of the patio for accelerated raising and lowering of this.
- the console and the mosquito net (2) resting thereon is straightened out by manual or mechanical inflating with air.
- the up-rolling is achieved by means of the spring (21) that for instance may consist of steel or plastic.
- the up-rolling by the spring of the innermost part of the cone may be eased by means of a rigid reinforcement (22) in the wall of the cone.
