[0002] 従来、一般的なルーティング手法において、中継するルータ等のネットワーク接続 機器では次に転送する宛先がネットワーク接続機器のルーティングテーブル上に存 在しない場合、デフォルトルートに転送する仕組みが取られている。デフォルトルート とは、予め決められた宛先であり、例えば" 0. 0. 0. 0 to next hop"等で表現され る。

発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0004] しかしながら、デフォルトルートは、あるネットワーク内において 1つのみ設定できる 経路情報である。つまり、デフォルトルートはネットワークの中で 1つのみが共通認識 のものとして取り扱われることになつている。したがって、デフォルトルートは、ある拠 点のネットワーク接続機器単位およびセグメント単位で 2つ以上設定することが現状 できなかった。
[0005] デフォルトルートを 2つ以上設定できないという問題を解決する為、従来のネットヮ ーク接続機器では例えばポリシルーティングと ヽぅ手法を利用して 、た。ポリシルーテ イングとは、送信元アドレスおよび宛先アドレスの両方を確認して転送先ルートを指定 することで、 目的とする宛先に転送する仕組みである。

[0010] 上記課題を解決するため、本発明は、受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブル に存在しないときに前記受信パケットを転送する宛先であるデフォルトルートを識別 子と対応付けて、前記デフォルトルートを 1つ以上設定可能としたことを特徴とする。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0015] まず、本発明の理解を容易とする為に、本発明の原理について説明する。本発明 では、デフォルトルートに識別子を設けることで、ネットワーク内において複数のデフ オルトルートを管理できるようにして 、る。
[0016] 即ち、本発明では同じネットワーク内においても複数のデフォルトルートを取り扱うこ とが可能である。拠点毎および拠点内の各セグメント毎にて任意のデフォルトルート を利用可能とすることで、本発明では前述した従来技術の問題点を解決できる。
[0017] ここで、図 1及び図 2を用いて本発明と従来技術との比較を行なう。図 1は、従来技 術を用いたルーティング手法の一例の説明図である。図 2は、本発明を用いたルー ティング手法の一例の説明図である。 [0018] IP— VPN等を利用するネットワークでは、インターネットの出口を 2つ以上設置する 場合、一般的に、インターネットの出口の 1つ目にデフォルトルートが設定され、イン ターネットの出口の 2つ目以降がポリシルーティングを用いて運用される。
[0019] この場合のポリシルーティングでは接続元のルータ力も接続先であるインターネット の出口のルータに及ぶ全ての経路のルータに対して、送信元アドレス(Source Ad ress)と,宛先アドレス(Destination Adress)と,転送先ルータとを対応付けた対 応表を設定しておく。そして、送信元アドレスおよび宛先アドレスが対応表に該当す る場合に、ポリシルーティングでは予め設定されている転送先ルータに転送する。
[0020] 図 1のネットワークは、ノード数が 8 (ルータ 1〜8)である。ルータ 1は、インターネット 12に接続されている。また、ルータ 2はインターネット 11に接続されている。デフオル トルートはインターネット 11向けに設定されている。ネットワーク内の全てのルータ 1〜 8のデフォルトルートは、インターネット 11向けとなる。なお、デフォルトルートを表す デフォルトルート情報は、ルータ 2がネットワーク内に配信する。

例えばホスト 21はインターネット 11に接続される。ネットワーク内の特定の端末 (例え ばホスト 22)を、インターネット 12に接続させたいという場合は上記したポリシルーティ ングを用いる。

[0234] 送信パケットは、 IP—VPN内にて「211. 4. 1. 2」宛にルーティング処理される。送 信パケットを受信したスィッチ 1005は、 IPヘッダの宛先 IPアドレスが自機の IPァドレ スであり、且つ IPヘッダオプション部のパケットタイプがデフォルト変換データパケット を表す「2」であるため、以下のように動作する。
[0235] スィッチ 1005は、 IPヘッダオプション部に格納されている相手先ホスト IPアドレス「
230. 50. 10. 10」を、 IPヘッダの宛先 IPアドレスに上書きする。スィッチ 1005は、 宛先 IPアドレスがグローバルアドレス等の相手先ホスト IPアドレス「230. 50. 10. 10 」に書き換えられた送信パケットを、ルーティングテーブル 120に従ってインターネット Bに送出する。具体的にスィッチ 1005は、デフォルトルートであるインターネット Bに 送信パケットを送出する。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在しないときに前記受信パケットを 転送する宛先であるデフォルトルートを識別子と対応付けて、前記デフォルトルートを
1つ以上設定可能とした複数のネットワーク接続機器を有することを特徴とするネット ワークシステム。
[2] 一のネットワーク接続機器は、同じネットワーク内の他のネットワーク接続機器に新 規のデフォルトルートを公知する必要がある場合、前記同じネットワーク内で一意とな るように識別子を決定し、前記新規のデフォルトルート及び識別子を他のネットワーク 接続機器に通知することを特徴とする請求項 1記載のネットワークシステム。
[3] 一のネットワーク接続機器は、データを転送するデータパケット、又は前記新規の デフォルトルート及び識別子を他のネットワーク接続機器に通知するデフォルトルート 情報パケットの何れであるかをパケットタイプに示したあと、送信パケットを送信するこ とを特徴とする請求項 2記載のネットワークシステム。
[4] 一のネットワーク接続機器は、同じネットワーク内の他のネットワーク接続機器から 新規のデフォルトルートを通知されると、前記新規のデフォルトルートに対応付けられ て 、る識別子が前記ルーティングテーブルに設定済みかを判定し、識別子が設定済 みの前記新規のデフォルトルートを前記ルーティングテーブルに反映させないことを 特徴とする請求項 1記載のネットワークシステム。
[5] 一のネットワーク接続機器は、同じネットワーク内の他のネットワーク接続機器に新 規のデフォルトルートを公知する必要がない場合、前記自機内で一意となるように識 別子を決定することを特徴とする請求項 1記載のネットワークシステム。
[6] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在 しないとき、前記受信パケットに前記識別子を格納したあと、前記受信パケットを前記 デフォルトルートに転送することを特徴とする請求項 1記載のネットワークシステム。
[7] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在 しないとき、前記受信パケットに格納されている前記識別子を読み出し、前記識別子 に対応付けられている前記デフォルトルートに受信パケットを転送することを特徴とす る請求項 1記載のネットワークシステム。
[8] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、前記識別子が対応付けられて ヽる前記デフオルトル ートをルータ単位又はセグメント単位に設定することを特徴とする請求項 1記載のネッ トワークシステム。
[9] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、前記デフォルトルートをルータ単位又はセグメント単 位に設定するときに、前記デフォルトルートに優先順位を付け、優先順位の高い前記 デフォルトルートが使用不能なときに次の優先順位の前記デフォルトルートに迂回す ることを特徴とする請求項 8記載のネットワークシステム。
[10] 受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在しないときに前記受信パケットを 転送する宛先であるデフォルトルートを識別子と対応付けて、前記デフォルトルートを 1つ以上設定可能としたことを特徴とするネットワーク接続機器。
[11] 同じネットワーク内の他のネットワーク接続機器に新規のデフォルトルートを公知す る必要がある場合、前記同じネットワーク内で一意となるように識別子を決定する識 別子生成手段と、
前記新規のデフォルトルート及び識別子を他のネットワーク接続機器に通知するデ フォルトルート情報発信手段と
を有することを特徴とする請求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[12] 前記デフォルトルート情報発信手段は、データを転送するデータパケット、又は前 記新規のデフォルトルート及び識別子を他のネットワーク接続機器に通知するデフォ ルトルート情報パケットの何れであるかをパケットタイプに示したあと、送信パケットを 送信することを特徴とする請求項 11記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[13] 同じネットワーク内の他のネットワーク接続機器力 新規のデフォルトルートを通知 されるデフォルトルート情報受信手段と、
前記新規のデフォルトルートに対応付けられている識別子が前記ルーティングテー ブルに設定済みかを判定し、識別子が設定済みの前記新規のデフォルトルートを前 記ルーティングテーブルに反映させない判定手段と
を更に有することを特徴とする請求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[14] 同じネットワーク内の他のネットワーク接続機器に新規のデフォルトルートを公知す る必要がな 、場合、前記自機内で一意となるように識別子を決定する識別子生成手 段を更に有することを特徴とする請求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[15] 前記受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在しないとき、前記受信パケ ットに前記識別子を格納したあと、前記受信パケットを前記デフォルトルートに転送す ることを特徴とする請求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[16] 前記受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在しないとき、前記受信パケ ットに格納されている前記識別子を読み出し、前記識別子に対応付けられている前 記デフォルトルートに受信パケットを転送することを特徴とする請求項 10記載のネット ワーク接続機器。
[17] 前記識別子が対応付けられて ヽる前記デフォルトルートをルータ単位又はセグメン ト単位に設定することを特徴とする請求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[18] 前記デフォルトルートをルータ単位又はセグメント単位に設定するときに、前記デフ オルトルートに優先順位を付け、優先順位の高 、前記デフォルトルートが使用不能な ときに次の優先順位の前記デフォルトルートに迂回させるデフォルトルート迂回管理 手段を更に有する請求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[19] 受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在しないときに前記受信パケットを 転送する宛先であるデフォルトルートが 1つ以上設定されており、前記デフォルトルー トに識別子が対応付けられて 、るルーティングテーブルと、
前記識別子と前記受信パケットを送信する可能性のある送信元とが対応付けられ て 、るデフォルトルート管理手段とを更に有し、
前記受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在しな 、ときに、前記受信パ ケットの送信元に対応付けられて ヽる前記識別子を読み出し、前記識別子に対応付 けられている前記デフォルトルートに前記受信パケットを転送することを特徴とする請 求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[20] 前記識別子は、前記受信パケットの IPヘッダオプション部に格納されることを特徴と する請求項 10記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[21] 受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在しないときに前記受信パケットを 転送する宛先であるデフォルトルートを識別子と対応付けて、前記デフォルトルートを
1つ以上設定可能とした複数のネットワーク接続機器をネットワークのエッジに位置さ せることを特徴とするネットワークシステム。
[22] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、新規のデフォルトルートを公知する必要がある場合、 前記同じネットワーク内で一意となるように識別子を決定し、前記新規のデフオルトル ート及び識別子をネットワークのエッジに位置する他のネットワーク接続機器に通知 することを特徴とする請求項 21記載のネットワークシステム。
[23] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、前記デフォルトルートにデータを転送するデフォルト 変換データパケット又は前記新規のデフォルトルート及び識別子を通知するデフオル トルート情報パケットの何れであるかをパケットタイプに示したあと、送信パケットを送 信することを特徴とする請求項 22記載のネットワークシステム。
[24] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、前記デフォルト変換データパケットを送信するときに 、前記デフォルト変換データパケットの元の宛先を前記デフォルト変換データパケット の所定位置に格納したあと、前記デフォルトルートに対応付けられて 、る他の前記ネ ットワーク接続機器の宛先を前記デフォルト変換データパケットの宛先に書き換える ことを特徴とする請求項 23記載のネットワークシステム。
[25] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、自機宛ての前記デフォルト変換データパケットを受 信したときに、前記デフォルト変換データパケットの宛先を前記デフォルト変換データ パケットの所定位置に格納されている元の宛先に書き換えて送信することを特徴とす る請求項 24記載のネットワークシステム。
[26] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、他の前記ネットワーク接続機器に新規のデフォルトル ートを公知する必要がな 、場合、前記自機内で一意となるように識別子を決定するこ とを特徴とする請求項 21記載のネットワークシステム。
[27] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、前記識別子が対応付けられて ヽる前記デフオルトル ートをルータ単位又はセグメント単位に設定することを特徴とする請求項 21記載のネ ットワークシステム。
[28] 前記ネットワーク接続機器は、前記デフォルトルートをルータ単位又はセグメント単 位に設定するときに、前記デフォルトルートに優先順位を付け、優先順位の高い前記 デフォルトルートが使用不能なときに次の優先順位の前記デフォルトルートに迂回す ることを特徴とする請求項 27記載のネットワークシステム。
[29] ネットワークのエッジに位置し、受信パケットの宛先がルーティングテーブルに存在 しないときに前記受信パケットを転送する宛先であるデフォルトルートを識別子と対応 付けて、前記デフォルトルートを 1つ以上設定可能としたことを特徴とするネットワーク 接続機器。
[30] 新規のデフォルトルートを公知する必要がある場合、前記同じネットワーク内で一意 となるように識別子を決定する識別子生成手段と、
前記新規のデフォルトルート及び識別子を他の前記ネットワーク接続機器に通知す るデフォルトルート情報発信手段と
を有することを特徴とする請求項 29記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[31] 前記デフォルトルート情報発信手段は、前記デフォルトルートにデータを転送する デフォルト変換データパケット又は前記新規のデフォルトルート及び識別子を通知す るデフォルトルート情報パケットの何れであるかをパケットタイプに示したあと、送信パ ケットを送信することを特徴とする請求項 30記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[32] 前記デフォルト変換データパケットを送信するときに、前記デフォルト変換データパ ケットの元の宛先を前記デフォルト変換データパケットの所定位置に格納する宛先格 納手段と、
前記デフォルトルートに対応付けられている他の前記ネットワーク接続機器の宛先 を前記デフォルト変換データパケットの宛先に書き換える宛先書換手段と を有することを特徴とする請求項 31記載のネットワーク接続機器。
[33] 自機宛ての前記デフォルト変換データパケットを受信したとき、前記宛先書換手段 は、前記デフォルト変換データパケットの宛先を前記デフォルト変換データパケットの 所定位置に格納されている元の宛先に書き換えることを特徴とする請求項 32記載の ネットワーク接続装置。
[34] 他の前記ネットワーク接続機器に新規のデフォルトルートを公知する必要がな ヽ場 合、前記自機内で一意となるように識別子を決定する識別子生成手段を有することを 特徴とする請求項 29記載のネットワーク接続装置。
[35] 前記識別子が対応付けられて!/ヽる前記デフォルトルートをルータ単位又はセグメン ト単位に設定するデフォルトルート機能設定手段を有することを特徴とする請求項 29 記載のネットワーク接続装置。
前記デフォルトルート機能設定手段は、前記デフォルトルートをルータ単位又はセ グメント単位に設定するときに、前記デフォルトルートに優先順位を付け、優先順位 の高い前記デフォルトルートが使用不能なときに次の優先順位の前記デフオルトル ートに迂回させることを特徴とする請求項 35記載のネットワーク接続装置。
