Definitions
- the engineering solution is related to the covering of the combustion burner mouth in order to avoid heat escape into the surrounding space of the combustion burner and to guide the flame of the combustion burner into the combustion chamber of the boiler.
- the mouth connects the outlet of the combustion burner with the combustion chamber of the boiler of the energy source, for example boiler of thermal power station. Bigger amount of the combustion burners has usually orifice into the combustion chamber in practice.
- the combustion burners are designed for the combustion of black oil, gas, coal dust, possibly for selected pairs of the fuel combinations.
- the heat orifice can be alternatively made from ceramic material, but the above-mentioned defects would not be removed by this solution not even in the case when the ring thermal cover would be divided into several independent parts.
- Steel plates of gibbous profile overlay contact surfaces of the ceramic parts of the thermal cover. Their curvature corresponds with the radius of the thermal cover, possibly the steel plates have the profile of capital letter T.
- the main purpose of the technical solution is to design the construction of the combustion burner mouth with long-term resistance against damage and with very good heat insulating properties that would bring an improvement of the combustion burner effectiveness.
- the mouth of the combustion burner according to this technical solution is created by the system of individual plane elements made from refractory material that are arranged side by side on the whole circumference of the combustion burner mouth.
- the individual plane segments with the possibility of thermal expansion are fixed in collapsible way to the inner surface of outer carrying ring that snugs the mouth of the combustion burner.
- the individual plane segments are placed in the expedient version side by side with partial overlap around the whole circumference of the combustion burner.
- the individual plane segment can be also arranged only side by side without the mutual partial overlapping in case of alternative version.
- the carrying ring is made from fire resistant steel that is able to withstand temperature up to 600° C 5 at which the material still keeps its guaranteed strength.
- the carrying ring is further connected in the collapsible way with the combustion burner by means of inner reinforcement with the shape of flange.
- the inner reinforcement is firmly connected with the carrying ring.
- the outer surface of the carrying ring is partly equipped by at least one external reinforcement in the shape of ring and is also partly equipped by the thermal insulation that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C. The thermal insulation enables the thermal expansion of the carrying ring at the same time.
- the inner surface of the carrying ring can be furnished by the reinforcing ribs that also eliminate the possible deformation of the carrying ring.
- each plane segment with the inner surface of the carrying ring is specified into the area of one end of this plane segment.
- the second end of each plane segment is placed between the support fixed to the inner surface of the carrying ring and end of the next plane segment.
- the space between the inner surface of the carrying ring and the system of the individual plane segments is filled by the thermal insulating material that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C.
- Cover metal sheets are installed from the side of the boiler combustion chamber between the carrying ring and the system of the individual plane segments.
- the cover metal sheets can be covered on their outer side (again on the side of the boiler combustion chamber) by the thermal insulation material that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C.
- the covering metal sheets protect the thermal insulation installed in the whole space between the inner surface of the carrying ring and the system of the plane segments, including the whole system of the plane segments.
- the plane segments are made either from the fire resistant steel for castings or from the refractory steel that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C.
- Figure No. 1 Cross-section of the combustion burner including segmented mouth of the combustion burner;
- Figure No. 6 shape of the plane segment from the Figure No. 5;
- Figure No. 7 detail of the collapsible fixing of the plane segment to the inner surface of the carrying ring, and
- FIG. 8 - version of the system of the covering metal sheets placed from the side of the boiler combustion chamber into the front space between the carrying ring and the system of the individual plane segments.
- the combustion burner K is followed by the mouth I that is connected with the combustion chamber ⁇ of the boiler that is not displayed.
- the combustion chamber H is equipped by the pipe wall (it is not displayed) outlined on the Figure No. 1 by axis 17 of this pipe wall.
- the combustion burner H) according to the Figure No. 1 is of combined type and it can be used for the combustion of black oil and powder coal.
- the supply of the black oil is stopped after the stabilization of the combustion burner operation K) for powder coal combustion.
- Black oil is supplied by the pipe 2J, that is ended by air whirling device Jj? of the black oil burner.
- Powder coal is supplied into the combustion burner i ⁇ _by means of the inlet pipe 23 ; air enters the system through the inlet channel 22.
- Whirling device 19 of the primary mixture and whirling device 20 of secondary air are installed around the circumference of the air whirling device 18 of the black oil burner.
- the mouth 1 of the combustion burner K) is made from the individual plane segments 3 made from the fire resistant steel for the castings or from the fire resistant steel that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C.
- the plane segments 3_ have mutual overlaps, they are placed around the whole circumference of the mouth 1 of the combustion burner K ) and they are installed in the collapsible way with the possibility of thermal expansion in all directions; they are fixed to the inner surface 4 of the outer carrying ring 2 that covers the mouth 1 of the combustion burner K).
- the combustion burner K) has the orifice into the space defined by the system of the plane segments 3. Their outlet is already part of the combustion chamber U_ of the boiler that is not displayed.
- the whole system of the combustion burner K ) and plane segments 3_ with the carrying ring 2 is shown in detail view on the Figure No. 2.
- the carrying ring 2 is made from the fire resistant steel that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 600° C without any change of its strength characteristics.
- the reinforcing ribs 8 are firmly fixed to the inner surface 4_of the carrying ring 2, while the outer surface 14 of the carrying ring 2 is furnished by outer reinforcement 13_ that has also shape of ring.
- the carrying ring 2 has a collapsible connection with the combustion burner K) by means of the inner reinforcement 12 in the shape of flange that is welded to the inlet edge of this carrying ring 2.
- the combustion burner H) is mounted on the load-bearing frame 30 that is placed next to the lining K5 of the combustion chamber UL of the boiler that is not displayed.
- Part of the carrying ring 2 is placed in the lining ⁇ 6 of the combustion chamber of the boiler that is not displayed.
- Cover metal sheets J_5 are inserted into the space between the carrying ring 2 and the system of the individual plane segments 3_ from the side of the boiler combustion chamber ⁇ at the outlet edge of the carrying ring 2.
- the cover metal sheets 15 are covered on their outer side (again on the side of the boiler combustion chamber) by the thermal insulation 9 that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C.
- the covering metal sheets 15, see Figure No. 8, contain the individual sections 28 ended by the partitions 29.
- the individual sections 23 . are filled by the thermal insulation 9 that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C.
- the partitions 29 make the fixing of the heat insulation 9 easier.
- the thermal insulation 9_ that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C and that enables thermal expansion of the carrying ring 2.
- the heat insulation 9 that is capable to withstand the temperature of at least 1000° C is inserted also between the inner surface 4 of the carrying ring 2 and system of the plane segments 3.
- the heat insulation 9 covers also the reinforcing ribs £ that are firmly connected with the inner surface 4 of the carrying ring 2 and outer reinforcement ⁇ connected with the outer surface H of the carrying ring 2.
- Figure No. 3 shows the cross-section of the carrying ring 2 and system of the individual plane segments 3 made perpendicularly to the rotation axis of the carrying ring 2.
- the system of the plane segments 3 is fixed in a collapsible way to the inner surface 4 of the carrying ring 2 at the place of one end 6 of each plane segment 3_ by means of three protrusions 26 with the fixing openings 27, see Figure No. 5 and No. 6.
- the protrusions 26 of the plane segments 3 are inserted between pair of stalks 25 fixed to the inner surface 4 of the carrying ring 2.
- the collapsible connection is ensured by the pins 24, see Figure No. 7, that goes through the openings in the pair of stalks 25 and at the same time also through the fixing openings 27 on the protrusions 26 of the plane segments 3_.
- the plane segments 3 are mounted with the partial mutual overlap side by side on the whole circumference of the mouth 1 of the combustion burner K).
- the second end 7 of each plane segment 3 from the system of the plane segments 3 is placed between the support 5_ fixed to one stalk 25 and end of the next plane segment 3_, see Figure No. 7.
- This construction arrangement of the plane segment system 3_ ensures their thermal expansion in all directions.
- the bending load of each plane segments 3_ is also limited, especially at the places of their collapsible connection ensured by means of the protrusions 26 with pair of stalks 25, see Figure No. 7.
- the design ensures that the individual plane segments 3 will return back to their initial positions after their cooling down; it means there is no stress in the system of the plane segments 3.
- the design also ensures quality and impermeable cover of the inner surface 4_of the carrying ring 2, especially against coal dust. Also the reinforcing ribs 8_connected firmly with the inner surface 4 of the carrying ring 2 prevent the thermal deformations of the carrying ring.
