Definitions
- the present invention relates to an auxiliary apparatus for isolation of teeth in general that is different from what is known and for its special design and arrangement of parts can be considered to obtain the requested protection.
- the object of this invention is that it isolates a specific area (tooth) when performing any type of dental operations or practices performed by a dentist, avoiding that the chemicals that are used, the waste liquids or infections remain in the same apparatus perfectly sealing the area , being easily assembled and disassembled and easy to apply, providing comfort to the same patient.
- the Auxiliary Apparatus for isolation of teeth can be used anywhere, either in the field for help in any contingency plan or in the dental office, causing less discomfort because it does not need anesthesia for its use, and as it is attached directly to the tooth, it does not damage the gum or if the tooth itself is mobile or delicate, it cannot be damaged.
- the Auxiliary Apparatus for insulating teeth it is required to anesthetize the gum, it is not necessary to disassemble it, since its size allows without any problem to apply the anesthesia. It allows, in turn, in case of any perforation to the tooth that is insulating, to contain within the same bowl any remaining amalgam that is released during the same. Having as another advantage not causing any infection during use.
- auxiliary device for tooth insulation is installed to make the dental practice comfortable and stable .
- This auxiliary device for insulating teeth can be made of a plastic or metallic material in one piece, or it can have a metal core with a plastic cover to be more hygienic for use and be disinfected in Autoclave, resulting in the plastic cover being disposable .
- the basic element for the sealing of the work area that when mounted on the main piece forms the casserole that will allow the perfect cleaning and isolation.
- Figure 1 shows a top view of the auxiliary apparatus for tooth insulation, with the latex.
- Figure 2 shows a side view of the auxiliary apparatus for tooth insulation, without the latex.

- Figure 7 is an isometric view of the auxiliary apparatus for insulating teeth with the latex in use in a lower molar tooth.
- Figure 8 is a top detail view of the auxiliary apparatus for insulating teeth with the latex in use in an upper canine tooth.
- the auxiliary apparatus for teeth isolation is divided into two parts, the frame (1) piece made of plastic material but which can be manufactured in another type of material and the other piece of latex (2) that when joined together form the bowl that retains the liquids used during dental practice, promoting perfect sealing.
- the auxiliary apparatus for tooth insulation is attached to the tooth by the rounded lower part (3) that adapts to the lingual or vestibular faces of the teeth exerting a small pressure that is reaffirmed with the latex (2).
- This same part of the apparatus has a kind of wings (4) that separate the latex and cause the base of the bowl. It should be noted that the latex (2) at the time of mounting must be made a hole (5) of 2 mm.
- the dam With a hole punch, the dam is then narrowed from the hole to the sides, tying them with the lateral wings (4) for the two sides, opening the hole (5) of the auxiliary device further and after this step the device is placed on the tooth, to With an instrument, push the device to the sides by unlocking it from the wings so that it goes down and with the principle of tension return to its natural size by hugging and sealing around the tooth. It also has the pillars (6) two on each side which serve to connect to the top or frame (1) to the fasteners (3).
- the frame (1) can be completely square or it can have a more circular shape depending on the type of work and the position of the tooth, clarifying that the frame is one piece and when talking about its parts it is only to define the functions but not They are separate or have to be united in any way.
- the auxiliary device for teeth isolation can be used on any type of tooth, be it molars, canines or anterior allowing the liquids that are used by the dentist or segregated by the patient to be aspirated, keeping the work area perfectly clean. Likewise, the size of the same device allows the patient to rest the mouth every so often avoiding discomfort, choking or even disgust during dental practice.
- the Auxiliary Device for client isolation can be used anywhere, either in the field for help in any contingency plan or in the dental office, causing less discomfort because it does not need anesthesia for its use, and as it is attached directly to the tooth, it does not damage the gum or if the tooth itself is mobile or delicate, it cannot be damaged.
