Abstract

Um Glas- oder Glaskeramik-Materialien mit erhöhter Festigkeit bereitzustellen, sieht die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Glas- oder Glaskeramik-Artikeln vor, welches die Schritte umfasst: Herstellen eines Ausgangsglaskörpers (11); Lagern des Ausgangsglaskörpers (11) auf einem Gaskissen (13) zwischen einer Levitationsunterlage (1) und dem Ausgangsglaskörper (11); sowie zumindest teilweise Keramisieren des Ausgangsglaskörpers (11) auf der Levitationsunterlage (1). Dabei weist die Levitationsunterlage zumindest einen zusammenhängenden Oberflächenbereich (3) mit zumindest einem Gaszufuhrbereich (151, 152, 153), an welchen Levitationsgas für das Gaskissen (13) zugeführt wird und zumindest einen Gasabführbereich (171, 172, 173) auf, an welchem Gas des Gaskissens (13) zumindest teilweise abgeführt wird.
