Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Formkörper, insbesondere als Primärenergieträger für die Erzeugung einer zu zerfasernden mineralischen Schmelze zur Herstellung von Dämmstoffen aus Mineralfasern, insbesondere aus Steinwolle, bestehend aus einer mit einem Bindemittel gebundenen feinkörnigen und kohlenstoffhaltigen Fraktion, wobei die kohlenstoffhaltige Fraktion eine maximale Korngröße von 50 mm aufweist. Um einen gattungsgemäßen Formkörper zu schaffen, der die Nachteile der aus dem Stand der Technik bekannten Formkörper nicht aufweist und insbesondere über eine hohe Festigkeit im Hinblick auf Abrieb und Bruch aufweist, ist vorgesehen, dass zumindest 50 Masse-% der kohlenstoffhaltigen Fraktion eine Korngröße ≥ 25 mm aufweist, so dass die gröberen Bestandteile ein Stützgerüst bilden, während die feineren Bestandteile mit einer Korngröße ≥ 25 mm die Zwischenräume ausfüllen und wobei die kohlenstoffhaltige Fraktion und das Bindemittel eine Packungsdichte 2:1.250 kg/m3 aufweist.
