  • the cooling efficiency will be significantly improved since the clinker material is prevented from sticking together to form large lumps. This is due to the fact that any early-stage formations of lumps will be stopped in that the bed of material is locally subjected to vertical displacements, thereby breaking up agglomerated pieces of material.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un refroidisseur (1) pour refroidir un matériau particulaire chaud, qui a été soumis à un traitement thermique dans un four industriel, comme un four rotatif (2) pour produire du clinker. Ledit refroidisseur (1) comprend une surface d'appui (13) pour soutenir un lit (24) de matériau. Ladite surface d'appui (13) étant faite d'un nombre de pistes de transport (14 à 19) parallèles allongées, qui peuvent être déplacées vers l'arrière et vers l'avant dans leur direction longitudinale et sont déplacées conjointement dans le sens de déplacement du matériau et individuellement ou en groupes, dans la direction opposée. Il est également prévu un compartiment sous-jacent (11) d'où l'air de refroidissement est guidé vers le haut à travers les espaces de la surface d'appui (13) pour refroidir le lit chaud de matériau. Le refroidisseur se caractérise en ce qu'il comprend des moyens (22) pour fournir des déplacements verticaux et locaux dans le lit du matériau. Il en résulte que l'efficacité de refroidissement sera sensiblement améliorée, étant donné que le matériau clinker est empêché de s'agglutiner pour former de grosses boules, ce qui est dû au fait que toute formation de boules à un stade précoce sera arrêtée de sorte que le lit de matériau est soumis localement à des déplacements verticaux, ce qui fragmente des pièces de matériau agglomérées.
