Die Vorrichtung zur Anwendung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens um¬ faßt eine Einrichtung, mittels welcher unter Druck stehende Flüssigkeit der Warenbahn zugeführt werden kann, ein der Einrichtung nachgeschaltetes Quetschwerk, mittels welchem Flüssigkeit von der Bahn abquetschbar ist, und einen Trockner zum Trocknen der Warenbahn. Die Warenbahn wird bei dieser Vorrichtung kontinuierlich von der Verfestigungseinrichtung über das Quetschwerk dem Trockner zugeführt, wobei nach Durchlauf des Quetschwerks die Warenbahn eine so geringe Restfeuchte aufweist, daß die zur Bewirkung des Trocknungsvorgangs vom Trockner benötigte E- nergiemenge reduziert ist.The liquid used is preferably water.
