Abstract

L'invention concerne un outil de coupe ainsi qu'un procédé d'utilisation d'un trépan de coupe pour un scarificateur servant à scarifier ou à aplanir une couche de sol/plate-forme/plancher. Le trépan de coupe peut être en fabriqué avec du carbure ou un autre matériau qui présente des caractéristiques de dureté et de résistance similaires. L'outil de coupe possède un bord de coupe pleine largeur qui s'étend sur la dent de la molette coupante. L'outil de coupe pleine largeur du trépan de coupe peut s'étendre sur une largeur plus importante que celle du corps de coupe. Le trépan de coupe pleine largeur élimine les arêtes laissées par l'opération de scarification. Le trépan de coupe est bloqué dans une fente sur la dent de la molette coupante à l'aide d'un pied arqué, d'un pied en queue d'aronde, d'une partie arquée sur le trépan de coupe qui s'engage dans une indentation arquée dans la molette coupante, ou d'autres configurations encore. Le trépan de coupe peut être brasé sur place ou adapté sur place à la dent de coupe de la molette coupante.
