Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a stack of container assemblies.
  • a container assembly can comprise an egg box, but it should be understood that other container assemblies for holding other foods and/or utility objects also fall within the scope of the invention.
  • Such container assemblies may be made of plastic, molded fiber material, cardboard-like material and the like.
  • Such container assemblies are conveyed stacked in each other, preferably in the open position, to a station where the products are placed in the bottom part, after which the top part, which acts as a lid, is placed on the bottom part. It is important here that the packs do not stick in each other.
  • such assemblies will be of a slightly relieved design. Such a relieved shape often gives rise to sticking of packs if said packs are stacked in each other. In order to avoid this problem, denesting features are proposed in the prior art.

  • Such a denesting feature consisting of two indentations is complicated to produce and does not have a very attractive appearance. It is the object of the present invention to provide a container assembly with denesting feature which does not have these disadvantages. Abstract
