Abstract

An apparatus for measuring displacement of an inclined plane to attain inclined plane behavior data required to predict collapse possibility of the inclined plane, and a method for acquiring behavior data of the inclined plane using the apparatus. The apparatus comprises a base member mounted on a respective one of the plurality of measurement piles fixed on the inclined plane in the longitudinal direction, and a body rotably connected to the top portion of the base member through a lower connection member. The body comprises a measurement unit for measuring ground data at a position at which the measurement pile is installed, an analog to digital conversion unit for converting analog data measured by the measurement unit to digital data, and a communication unit for transmitting the ground data inputted from the analog to digital conversion unit to the outside and received control signals for the measurement unit from the outside.

Claims

1. (Amended) An apparatus for measuring behavior data of an inclined plane required to predict collapse possibility of the inclined plane, comprising: a base member mounted on a respective one of the plurality of measurement piles fixed on the inclined plane in the longitudinal direction; and a body rotably connected to the top portion of the base member through a lower connection member and containing a measurement unit for measuring ground data at a position at which the measurement pile is installed, an analog to digital conversion unit for converting analog data measured by the measurement unit to digital data, and a communication unit for transmitting the ground data inputted from the analog to digital conversion unit to the outside and receiving control signals for the measurement unit from the outside; wherein the lower connection member includes: a rotation axis for connecting the base member to the body; a bracket formed above the base member for enclosing the rotation axis; and a managing member composed of a spring and a ball and horizontally mounted on the bracket for managing a rotating
26 angle of the rotation axis.

The apparatus as set forth in claim 1, wherein the measurement unit includes: a gradient measurement unit rotably arranged at an upper portion of the body through an upper connection member for measuring gradient of the measurement pile; a displacement measurement unit for measuring displacement of a wire connected to the measurement pile; and a temperature measurement unit for measuring ambient temperature .

The apparatus as set forth in claim 2, wherein the upper connection member includes : a rotation axis; a bracket formed above the base member for enclosing the rotation axis; and a managing member composed of a spring and a ball and horizontally mounted on the bracket for managing a rotating angle of the rotation axis.
5. (Amended) The apparatus as set forth in any one of claims 1, 2 or 4, further comprising a vertical guide roller provided at an outer side of the body for guiding curved movement of a drawn wire.
6. (Amended) The apparatus as set forth in any one of claims 1, 2 or 4, further comprising a ventilating opening provided at one side of the body for exhausting generated heat to the outside.
7. (/Amended) A method for acquiring behavior data of an inclined plane through communication with measurement apparatuses, the method comprising the steps of: installing a plurality of measurement piles in the longitudinal direction with respect to one or more reference piles installed on the inclined plane; connecting wires drawn from the measurement apparatuses to the plurality of measurement piles such that the measurement apparatuses installed at upper portions of the measurement piles are interconnected in the longitudinal direction; calculating and storing behavior data of the inclined plane using measurement data transmitted from the measurement apparatuses; and outputting the stored behavior data to a display device; wherein the step of calculating and storing the
28 behavior data includes: receiving various measurement data transmitted from the measurement apparatuses; extracting measurement values corresponding to the received measurement data; compensating for displacement measurement values of the measurement apparatuses based on extracted temperature measurement values and calculating behavior data of the inclined plane at which the measurement apparatuses are installed, using the compensated displacement measurement values and angle measurement values; and storing the calculated behavior data.

(Amended) The method as set forth in claim 7, wherein the step of outputting the behavior data further includes reading the stored behavior data and transmitting the read behavior data to the outside in response to request signals for the behavior data, the request signals being received from the outside.
