Abstract

L'invention concerne une matière siliceuse et un oxyde ou un hydroxyde de calcium pouvant être mélangés conjointement avec une matière fibreuse, mélangés avec de l'eau afin de former une bouillie, puis pompés de manière continue par l'intermédiaire d'un réacteur tubulaire sous pression (PTA) chauffé à une vitesse prédéterminée et présentant une longueur également prédéterminée. Le réacteur tubulaire est chauffé à une température prédéterminée afin de générer une pression de flux désirée ayant pour résultat la croissance chimique de particules cristallines de wollastonite hydratée synthétique (également connue sous le nom de xonotlite), lesdites particules étant soit extrudées par l'intermédiaire d'une extension du réacteur après refroidissement selon une forme désirée, telle qu'un format de carton ou de feuille, soit séchées à la sortie du réacteur par chauffage d'une vaporisation par l'intermédiaire d'un séchoir éclair et collectées dans un cyclone et un logement sac afin de produire une matière en poudre résistant au feu et thermo-isolante.
