Abstract

Une table peut comporter un plateau de table, un ou plusieurs rails latéraux, et un ou plusieurs pieds qui sont mobiles entre une position dépliée et une position pliée par rapport au plateau de table. Les rails latéraux sont de préférence fixés à une ou plusieurs lèvres ou saillies qui s'étendent vers le bas depuis une partie inférieure du plateau de table. Les rails latéraux peuvent comporter trois parties pouvant ceindre au moins une partie de la lèvre. Les rails latéraux peuvent être fixés à la lèvre par emboîtement-pression, par friction ou par ajustement serré. Par ailleurs, une partie extérieure du rail latéral peut être généralement alignée avec un bord extérieur du plateau de table.
