Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un contenant du type faisceau de tuyaux conçu pour contenir un liquide à basse température, qui comprend un logement doté d'une section transversale rectangulaire et se caractérise en ce qu'une pluralité de réservoirs tubulaires thermiquement isolés sont disposés dans ledit logement. Un vide poussé règne dans ces réservoirs qui contiennent des tubes disposés en couches. De manière à améliorer la performance d'isolation thermique et l'effet d'amortissement du contenant, les espaces situés entre le logement et les réservoirs ainsi que les espaces existants parmi les réservoirs sont remplis d'une matière isolante. Cette invention s'avère avantageuse en ce qu'elle permet d'accroître la capacité de contenance du liquide à basse température et en ce qu'elle améliore les performances d'isolation thermique du fait des structures doubles mises en oeuvre pour cette isolation thermique. En outre, du fait que le liquide est contenu dans les réservoirs les plus petits respectivement, il est possible d'empêcher un phénomène de stratification ainsi qu'une déviation importante du centre de gravité, ce qui permet d'améliorer la sécurité lors du stockage et du transport du liquide, de simplifier le processus de production et de réduire la quantité de matière isolante requise.
