Due to the different coloufs of the film materials, the anode and the cathode side of the MEA could be easily distinguished.

Abstract

L'invention touche au domaine des piles électrochimiques et des piles à combustible et concerne notamment des piles à combustible du type à membrane électrolyte polymère (PEMFC) et des piles à combustible à méthanol direct (DMFC). Elle porte sur des membranes en ionomère revêtues de catalyseur (CCM) et sur des ensembles membrane-électrode (MEA) à deux composants de couleur différente. Les composants de couleur différente peuvent être des couches de diffusion de gaz, des couches du type film protecteur, des couches d'étanchéification ou des couches de garniture. Les composants de couleur différente permettent de distinguer l'un de l'autre les deux côtés réactifs du MEA (côté anode et côté cathode) et de faciliter ainsi la manipulation, notamment dans les lignes de montage automatique de piles. Les CCM et les MEA contenant ces composant de couleur différente peuvent être utilisés pour la fabrication d'empilement de piles à combustible basse température.
