Abstract

L'invention concerne un moteur combustion interne, à injection directe d'essence et à allumage commandé, comprenant au moins un cylindre (1), une culasse (6) obturant le cylindre (1), un piston (7) monté coulissant dans le cylindre (1), une chambre de combustion (2) définie entre le piston (7) et la culasse (6), un moyen d'injection (3) d'essence dans la chambre de combustion (2), un moyen d'allumage (4) destiné à produire une inflammation du mélange air-essence dans la chambre de combustion (2), des soupapes d'admission (8) et d'échappement (9), obturant sélectivement la chambre de combustion (2) et des moyens de recirculation d'au moins une partie des gaz d'échappement dans la chambre (2) de combustion pendant la phase d'admission d'air, caractérisé en ce que la pression fournie au moyen d'injection (3) dépasse 250 bars, de façon à homogénéiser le mélange air-essence-gaz d'échappement recirculés et à augmenter la vitesse de combustion.
