Abstract
Es wird eine Gasdiffusionselektrode mit einem Konzentrationsgradienten eines chemischen Stoffs in wenigstens einer Richtung parallel zur Oberseite der GDE und einer Richtung senkrecht zur Oberseite der GDE vorgeschlagen sowie eine Gasdiffusionselektrode mit einem Schichtdickegradient. Die Gasdiffusionselektroden sind an die inhomogenen thermodynamischen Bedingungen innerhalb einer Brennstoffzelle angepasst und kompensieren diese wenigstens teilweise, sodass eine MEA, die mit derartigen Gasdiffusionselektroden ausgestattet ist, eine gute, zuverlässige Leistung bringt. Ferner werden Herstellungsverfahren für derartige GDE vorgeschlagen sowie Brennstoffzellen und Brennstoffzellenstapel, die derartige GDE aufweisen.
