Abstract

Es wird eine Gasdiffusionselektrode mit einem Konzentrations­gradienten eines chemischen Stoffs in wenigstens einer Rich­tung parallel zur Oberseite der GDE und einer Richtung senk­recht zur Oberseite der GDE vorgeschlagen sowie eine Gasdif­fusionselektrode mit einem Schichtdickegradient. Die Gasdif­fusionselektroden sind an die inhomogenen thermodynamischen Bedingungen innerhalb einer Brennstoffzelle angepasst und kompensieren diese wenigstens teilweise, sodass eine MEA, die mit derartigen Gasdiffusionselektroden ausgestattet ist, eine gute, zuverlässige Leistung bringt. Ferner werden Herstel­lungsverfahren für derartige GDE vorgeschlagen sowie Brenn­stoffzellen und Brennstoffzellenstapel, die derartige GDE aufweisen.
