Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé pour appliquer un revêtement métallique anticorrosion par immersion à chaud sur une matière en forme de bande ou de fil. Le dispositif selon l'invention comprend une cuve de revêtement destinée à contenir un bain de métal liquide, au moins une unité d'induction et un dispositif de transport servant à acheminer la matière en forme de bande ou de fil à travers ce bain de métal liquide. L'invention concerne également un procédé de revêtement par immersion à chaud de ladite matière. Selon l'invention, pour que le niveau du bain d'immersion puisse être réglé de façon optimale à tout moment, la cuve de revêtement est reliée à une cuve de fusion pouvant être soumise à une pression, le niveau du bain de métal dans la cuve de revêtement pouvant être régulé par l'intermédiaire de la pression appliquée sur le bain de fusion dans la cuve de fusion.
