Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) pour produire de l'hydrogène à partir d'un hydrocarbure avec un bon rendement énergétique et en générant de faibles quantités de dioxyde de carbone et de polluants. Le dispositif (1) comprend - (a) un réacteur de conversion (4) desdits hydrocarbures par de la vapeur d'eau. Le réacteur (4) est alimenté en oxygène pur ou quasiment pur pour oxyder une partie des hydrocarbures et apporter la chaleur nécessaire pour convertir, en hydrogène, en monoxyde de carbone et en dioxyde de carbone, la quasi intégralité de l'autre partie des hydrocarbures. Le dispositif (1) comprend en outre - (b) des moyens de préchauffage (5) desdits hydrocarbures, dudit flux d'oxygène et de l'eau à vaporiser, - (c) au moins un échangeur thermique (6) pour refroidir lesdits produits de conversion, pour récupérer une fraction de l'énergie thermique des produits de conversion, - (d) un équipement de valorisation de l'hydrogène, Le réacteur (4), les moyens de préchauffage (5), l'échangeur thermique (6) et l'équipement de valorisation fonctionnent à des pressions élevées, notamment supérieures à 30 bars.
