この発明は、 主と してディーゼル自動車排気筒に装着して、 排気ガス中の 微粒子を除去する装置に関するものである。 背景技術
現在実用化されているディーゼル車の排気ガス中の微粒子を除去する方 法と して、 フィルターに微粒子を吸着し、 微粒子を適量吸着した時点でフィ ルターを過熱して焼却して再生する方法が採用されている。
この様に従来の方法は微粒子をフィルターに吸着させる方式である故に、 フ ィルターを再生しなければならないという宿命を負っている。
しかるに本案は、 フィルターに微粒子を吸着させない方法によつて微粒子 を除去する方法を提供するものである。 発明の開示
固定シリ ンダー内の回転シリ ンダ一は、 固定シリ ンダ一のへッ ドカバーに 固定したモーターによ り回転される。 固定シリ ンダ一の中に導入された排気 ガスは、 回転シリ ンダー固定されて回転する回転板によ り回転流となり、 遠 心力によつ.て微粒子は固定シリ ンダー内壁を周回する。 固定シリ ンダ一の下 部は筒長に沿って切開され、 微粒子はここよ り下部 トラ ップに回収される。
回転シリ ンダーの内壁には内接してフィルターが装着される。
回転シリ ンダ一は、 固定シリ ンダ一のェン ドカバーの軸受に軸支されて回 転し、 エン ドカバーの外部に延長した部分にシロ ッコファンを形成するファ ンが固定され、 回転シ リ ンダーの内周に内接するフ ィ ルタ一は、 回転シ リ ン ダ一のェン ドキヤップを外して装着される。
回転シリ ンダーの筒壁には多数のパンチング孔が施されている。
回転シリ ンダ一の回転により ファンも回転し、 排気ガスは回転シリ ンダー のノ ンチング? Lを通り、 フィルターの内部を通ってシロ ッコフ ァ ンの方向へ へと流れ、 再ぴフィルターを通り、 回転シリ ンダ一のパンチング孔を通って 大気中へと排気される。
フィルタ一は回転しており、 かつ微粒子には遠心力が働いているので、 微 粒子がフィルター内に入り込む力は弱く、フ ィ ルターの目詰まりする確率は 非常に小さく、 フィルターのメ ッシュよ り大きい微粒子の流入を確実に阻止 することが出来る。 図面の簡単な説明

発明を実施するための最良の形態
固定シリ ンダー 1 の中心で回転する回転シリ ンダー 2は、 固定シリ ンダー のへッ ドカバー 3及びエン ドカノく一 4 の中心に軸支され、 へッ ドカバー 3に 固定されたモーター 5に連結されて回転する。 回転シリ ンダ一の筒長はェン ドカバー 4 の外部に延長され、 回転シリ ンダー 2 の延長部外周にはシロ ッコ フ ァ ンを構成するフ ァ ン 7が固定され、延長端はエン ドキャップ 9が着脱可 能に装着される。
回転シリ ンダー 2の円筒壁全州には無数のパンチング孔 8が施こされ、 フ ィルターはェン ドキャップ 9側よ り回転シリ ンダ一の内部に挿入され、 シリ ンダ一円筒の内壁に内接するよう に装着される。
固定シリ ンダー 1 の内部に位置する回転シリ ンダー 2の筒の外周には、 回 転シリ ンダ一に固定されて回転する回転羽根 10 が形成され、 自動車の排気 ガス 1 1 を導入した排気筒 12 は、 回転羽根 10 とへッ ドカバー 3の間のシリ ンダー中央部に排気筒 12の筒口 13が導入される。
第 2図に示すよ うに、排気ガスは、回転羽根 10によつて回転流 14となり、 排気ガス中の微粒子は遠心力によ り 固定シリ ンダ一の内壁に沿って回転し、 固定シリ ンダー下部の切開部より トラップ 1 5に回収される。
回転羽根 10 は、 排気ガスを定常状態の回転流に近づけるために、 金網や パンチング板ゃブラシなどの軽量な素材を用い、 シリ ンダー内壁で跳ね返る 乱流を出来るだけ押さえる工夫が施される。
第 3図は、 回転シリ ンダーによって回転するファン 7が、 回転シリ ンダー 内のガスを、 大気中に排出する図で、 ファン 7の周囲をファンカバー 6で覆 ぃシロ ッコファ ンを形成している。
本装置のフィルタ一は、 吸着しないこ とを目的にしており、 従ってフィル ターは非常に薄いもので十分である。 そこで本発明では、 第 4図に示すよ う に、 薄いシー ト状フィルター 14 を丸めて回転シリ ンダーの内部に装着する 方法を提案するものである。 フィルターを小さ く丸めて回転シリ ンダ一の内 部に挿入し、 揷入したフィルターがシリ ンダ一の内壁に密着するよ うにする ために、 フィルターに弾性を持たせる力 、 或いは薄いステンレスのパンチン グシー トなどを重ねて卷き込むなどの方法が採用される。
フィルターを取り外す時には、 フィルターの端部に耳 15 を付け、 この耳 をつまんでフィルター卷き込むよ うに回転させれば、径が小さ く なり容易に 引き出すことが可能である。
なお、 フィルターの吸入部と排出部のメ ッシュの目の大きさを違えたり 、 フィルターの筒内に触媒などを装着することも可能である。 產業上の利用可能性
本発明は、 フィルターが非常に薄く軽量に出来ること、 フィルターの目詰 ま りが殆どないこ となどによ り、 安価で寿命が長く、 微粒子除去精度の高い 排気ガス浄化装置が実現できる。

Claims

請 求 の 範 囲 . 固定シリ ンダー 1 内の回転シリ ンダー 2は、 固定シリ ンダ一のへッ ドカ パー 3に固定されたモーター 5に連結され、 固定シリ ンダー 1 のへッ ドカ バー 3 とエン ド力パー 4に軸支されて回転する。 排気筒 12 は、 固定シ リ ンダー 1 内部中央部付近の回転シリ ンダー 2 とへッ ドカバー 3 の間に導 入される。 固定シ リ ンダーの下部は筒長に沿って切開され、 切開部を覆つ て トラップが装着される。
回転シリ ンダ一の筒壁の全周には無数のパンチング孔が施され、 内壁に は内接してフィルターが装着される。
回転シリ ンダーは、 エンドカバーの外部に延長され、 延長部には、 回転 シリ ンダ一に固定されたファンが形成され、 ファンの周囲をファンカバー で覆ってシロ ッ コ ファ ンを構成している。
