Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour transformer une découpe métallique allongée en un composant structurel ayant une configuration prédéterminée. Le procédé consiste à créer une cavité de formage ou une section de gaine à partir d'un matériau rigide, qui comprend une surface interne définissant la forme prédéterminée, à placer la découpe métallique dans une cavité de formage ou une section de gaine et à transformer la découpe métallique par le réchauffement des parties axiales de la découple métallique et par l'injection d'un fluide haute pression dans la découpe métallique, et ce jusqu'à ce que la découpe métallique s'adapte au moins partiellement à une partie de la surface interne de la cavité ou de la partie de gaine, de manière à former le composant structurel désiré.
