Abstract

La présente invention concerne des procédés nouveaux d'estérification, transestérification et intérestérification. Ces nouveaux procédés permettent non seulement de diminuer les temps réactionnels, comparés aux procédés classiques, et ils conduisent également à l'obtention d'esters aux caractéristiques physico-chimiques remarquables: ces procédés permettent de réduire de manière significative l'indice d'acide et l'indice de peroxyde du mélange. Cette présente invention consiste à fabriquer par chauffage diélectrique (micro-ondes et hautes fréquences) des alcools polyhydroxylés partiellement ou totalement estérifiés à partir d'un mélange d'huiles et graisses végétales ou animales, d'acides gras saturés ou insaturés, d'esters d'acides gras saturés ou insaturés, d'hydrocarbures saturés ou insaturés ou de dérivés de ces derniers et de composés comportant ou générant des fonctions hydroxyles, comme le glycérol, les polyglycérols, les polyalkylèneglycols, les alcools polyvinyliques, les sucres, les stérols. Le traitement thermique est effectué par chauffage diélectrique, de préférence dans une atmosphère dépourvue d'oxygène. Les fréquences des ondes électromagnétiques varient de 30 Ghz à 3 Mhz environ. Les esters trouvent de multiples applications: les esters de polymères d'alcools polyhydriques sont par exemple des tensio-actifs utilisés en cosmétique ou dans l'alimentation (margarine, chocolat…).
