Die Erfindung betrifft einen wärmeabgebenden Handhabungsgegenstand mit einem durch Mikrowellenstrahlung erwärmbaren Wärmespeicher mit einer Wärmespeicherkapazität, die vorbestimmbar ist. Der Wärmespeicher ist dabei ein mineralischer Festkörper, insbesondere ein Stein oder Gestein, besonders bevorzugt ein Kieselstein. Die Größe ist wählbar. Der mineralische Festkörper ist dabei mit einer Wärmedämmung ummantelt. Die Wärmedämmung besteht aus einem samtartigen Überzug, der von einer Faserbeflockung gebildet werden kann, die unter Vermittlung eines Klebers samtartig aufbringbare Fasern mit Faserlängen von 1 bis 5 mm an dem Festkörper fixiert. Alternativ können textile Flächengebilde mit einem nach außen gerichteten Faser- oder Filamentenflor als Wärmedämmung an dem Festkörper als Überzug angebracht sein.
