Abstract

L'invention concerne un instrument médical pour le traitement par hyperthermie induite par radiofréquences des tumeurs. Cet instrument se compose d'un corps ou d'une aiguille de guidage (11) et d'un certain nombre d'électrodes actives (13) passant dans ce corps ou cette aiguille. Chaque électrode se compose d'un élément filiforme souple avec une partie proximale qui peut être connectée à un générateur de radiofréquences et un segment distal (14) en forme de crochet ou pré-incurvé. Les électrodes (13) peuvent être déplacées dans le sens longitudinal entre une position rétractée passive, où elles sont rétractées dans le corps ou l'aiguille, et une position avant active, où les segments distaux (14) en forme de crochet ou incurvés sortent des différents côtés du corps ou de l'aiguille et débordent pour converger vers l'avant au-delà de l'extrémité distale du corps ou de l'aiguille, encerclant ainsi un volume de tissu en vue de l'ablation.
