Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung, durch welche die Reaktonszeit eines Software-Prozesses auf eine vorgegebene maximale Reaktionszeit beschränkt wird. Unter Reaktonszeit wird die Summe aus Latenszzeit (Zeitspanne zwischen auslösendem Ereignis und Start des Prozesses) und Ausführungszeit verstanden. Der Software-Prozeβ ist beispielsweise ein Unterbrechungsbehandlungs-Programm, das durch ein Unterbrechungssignal (Interrupt) ausgelöst wird. Erfindungsgemäβ ist der Software-Prozeβ in mehrere Teilprozesse unterteilt, die jeweils ein Ergebnis liefern. Wird der Software-Prozeβ abgebrochen, weil die maximale Reaktonszeit erreicht ist, so wird als Endergebnis des Prozesses das Ergebnis eines zuvor ausgewählten Teilprozesses verwendet. Dieser Teilprozeβ ist beispielsweise der als letzter vollständig ausgeführte.
