Abstract
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Allylsilylether der allgemeinen Formel (1) R1R2HSi-O-CR3R4-R5C=CR6R7 (1), bei dem ein Chlorsilan der allgemeinen Formel (2) R1R2HsiCl (2), mit Allylalkohol der allgemeinen Formel (3) HO-CR3R4-R5C=CR6R7 (3), und Ammoniak in Kohlenwasserstoff mit einem Siedepunkt von 20 bis 200°C bei 1 bar umgesetzt wird, wobei R1 und R2 jeweils einen Alkyl-, Aralkyl oder Alkarylrest mit 1-10 Kohlenstoffatomen, R3 und R4 jeweils Wasserstoff oder einen Alkyl-, Aralkyl oder Alkarylrest mit 1-10 Kohlenstoffatomen R5 Wasserstoff oder einen Alkylrest mit 1-6 Kohlenstoffatomen und R6 und R7 jeweils Wasserstoff oder einen Alkylrest mit 1-6 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten.
Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Allylsilylether
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Allylsilylether und dessen Umsetzung zu l-Sila-2-oxa- cyclopentanen.
Die Herstellung von Allyloxydialkylsilanen ist u.a. beschrieben in Mironov et al., J. Gen. Chem. USSR, 39 (1969), 937-941. In einer weiteren Publikation Mironov et al . J. Gen. Chem. 41 (1971) , 2497-2502 beschreibt er die Synthese in Gegenwart von Harnstoff statt N, N-Dimethylanilin wie in der vorgehenden Veröffentlichung. Allen diesen Umsetzungen ist gemein, daß sie teilweise nur partiell ablaufen und damit die realen Ausbeuten niedrig sind und daß insbesondere eine destillative Trennung des gewünschten Produktes von den Edukten bzw. von
Verunreinigungen vor der Weiterverarbeitung notwendig ist. Allyldialkylsilylether können in Gegenwart von
Edelmetallkatalysatoren wie z. B. Platin oder Rhodium in einer intramolekularen Hydrosilylierungsreaktion zu entsprechenden 1, l-Dialkyl-l-sila-2-oxa-cyclopentanen quantitativ umgewandelt.
l-Sila-2-oxa-cyclopentane wiederum werden zu Hydroxyalkyl- terminierten Polysiloxanen sowie -Siliconharzen weiterverarbeitet. Letztere werden u. a. in der Kosmetik- und Textilindustrie eingesetzt. Da bisher durch wenig praktikable Syntheseverfahren der Zugang zu diesen Produkten nur erschwert möglich war, war es für eine verstärkte Kommerzialisierung dieser Produkte notwendig, möglichst einfache und effiziente Syntheseverfahren zur Herstellung der Allyl- dikohlenwasserstoffsilylether und von l-Sila-2-oxa- cyclopentanen zu entwickeln.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Allylsilylether der allgemeinen Formel (1)
R1R2HSi-0-CR3R4-R5C=CRβR7 (1),
bei dem ein Chlorsilan der allgemeinen Formel (2)
R1R2HSiCl (2),
mit Allylalkohol der allgemeinen Formel (3)
HO-CR3R -R5C=CRβR7 (3),
und Ammoniak in Kohlenwasserstoff mit einem Siedepunkt -von 20 bis 200 °C bei 1 bar umgesetzt wird, wobei
R und R.2 jeweils einen Alkyl-, Aralkyl oder Alkarylrest mit 1- 10 Kohlenstoffatomen,
R.3 und R^ jeweils Wasserstoff oder einen Alkyl-, Aralkyl oder Alkarylrest mit 1-10 Kohlenstoffatomen
R Wasserstoff oder einen Alkylrest mit 1-6 Kohlenstoffatomen und R6 und R7 jeweils Wasserstoff oder einen Alkylrest mit 1-6
Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten.
Mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren werden hohe Ausbeuten, Raum-Zeit-Ausbeuten und Selektivitäten erreicht, die den bisher bekannten Verfahren überlegen sind.
Durch die hohe Selektivität des Verfahrens kann das gewünschte Produkt der allgemeinen Formel (1) in einem einfachen
Destillationsschritt in hoher Reinheit, beispielsweise > 97 %, gewonnen werden.
Beispiele für Alkylreste R-*- bis R7 sind der Methyl-, Ethyl-, n- Propyl-, iso-Propyl-, n-Butyl-, iso-Butyl-, tert . -Butyl-, n- Pentyl-, iso-Pentyl-, neo-Pentyl-, tert . -Pentylrest und
Hexylreste, wie der n-Hexylrest und zusätzlich für R^, R2, R3,
R4 sind Heptylreste, wie der n-Heptylrest , Oktylreste, wie der n-Octylrest und iso-Oktylreste, wie der 2,2,4- Trimethylpentylrest, Nonylreste, wie der n-Nonylrest,
Decylreste, wie der n-Decylrest und Dodecylreste, wie der n- Dodecylrest .
Beispiele für Aralkylreste R1, R2, R3, R4 sind der Benzylrest, der alpha- und der ß-Phenylethylrest .
Beispiele für Alkarylreste R1, R2, R3, R4 sind die o-, m-, p-
Tolylreste, Xylylreste und Ethylphenylreste .
Vorzugsweise bedeuten R^-, R2 einen Alkylrest mit 1-6
Kohlenstoffatomen, insbesondere Methyl- oder Ethylrest.
Vorzugsweise bedeuten R3, R4 Wasserstoff oder einen Alkylrest mit 1-6 Kohlenstoffatomen, insbesondere Wasserstoff, Methyl- oder Ethylrest.
Vorzugsweise bedeuten R^, R6, R7 Wasserstoff, Methyl- oder Ethylrest.
Besonders bevorzugt ist die Herstellung von Allyldimethylsilylether .
Da die Umsetzung stöchiometrisch und quantitativ abläuft, werden pro mol Chlorsilan der allgemeinen Formel (2) nur 1 mol NH3 benötigt. Vorzugsweise werden pro mol Chlorsilan der allgemeinen Formel (2) nur 1 bis 3 mol NH3 eingesetzt. Ammoniak wird vorzugsweise in die Reaktionslösung eingeleitet. Das gebildete Ammoniumsalz wird vorzugsweise durch Filtration entfernt. Überschüssiger Ammoniak kann leicht unter vermindertem Druck entfernt werden.
Als Lösungsmittel können reine Kohlenwasserstoffe oder deren Gemische eingesetzt werden. Vorzugsweise werden aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe eingesetzt. Besonders bevorzugt sind Kohlenwasserstoffe mit einem Siedepunkt von 30 bis 150 °C, insbesondere n-Pentan, n-Decan.
Das Verfahren wird vorzugsweise bei -30 bis 50°C, insbesondere bei -15 bis 30 °C durchgeführt.
Das Rohprodukt, das den Allyl-dikohlenwasserstoff-silylether der allgemeinen Formel (1) enthält, kann entweder durch
Destillation zusätzlich aufgereinigt werden, oder für weitere
Umsetzungen direkt eingesetzt werden. Vorzugsweise wird das entstandene Arnmoniumchlorid vorher entfernt
Die Reinheit des Rohproduktes ist so hoch, daß es direkt zur Herstellung der den Allylsilylethern entsprechenden l-Sila-2- oxa-cyclopentane eingesetzt werden kann.
Daher ist ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von l-Sila-2-oxa-cyclopentan der allgemeinen Formel (4)
bei dem im ersten Schritt ein Chlorsilan der allgemeinen Formel (2)
R^HSiCl (2),
mit Allylalkohol der allgemeinen Formel (3)
HO-CR3R -R5C=CRβR7 (3),
und Ammoniak in Kohlenwasserstoff mit einem Siedepunkt von 20 bis 200 °C bei 1 bar zu Allylsilylether der allgemeinen Formel (1)
R1R2HSi-0-CR3R4-R5C=CR6R7 (1),
umgesetzt wird und im zweiten Schritt das Reaktionsprodukt aus dem ersten Schritt ohne Isolierung des Allylsilylethers der allgemeinen Formel (1) mit Edelmetallkatalysator umgesetzt wird, wobei R , R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 und R7 die vorstehenden Bedeutungen aufweisen.
Die Reaktion des zweiten Schritts ist eine intramolekulare Hydrosilylierungsreaktion, die nahezu quantitativ abläuft.
Als Edelmetallkatalysatoren kommen vorzugsweise die Metalle und Verbindungen von Rhodium, Iridium, Palladium und Platin in Betracht.
Der Edelmetallkatalysator wird vorzugsweise in Mengen von 1 bis 1000 Mol-ppm, insbesondere 50 bis 500 Mol-ppm, bezogen auf Allylsilylether der allgemeinen Formel (1) eingesetzt.
Vorzugsweise wird vor dem zweiten Schritt das im ersten Schritt entstandene Ammoniumchlorid abgetrennt, beispielsweise durch Abfiltrieren oder Abkondensieren der flüchtigen Bestandteile des Reaktionsprodukts.
Der zweite Schritt des Verfahrens wird vorzugsweise bei 10 bis 150°C, insbesondere bei 30 bis 100°C durchgeführt.
Besonders bevorzugt ist die Herstellung von 1, 1-Dimethyl-l- sila-2-oxa-cyclopentan.
l-Sila-2-oxa-cyclopentan der allgemeinen Formel (4) ist in seiner monomeren Form nicht lagerfähig, sondern wandelt sich in einigen Fällen bereits bei Raumtemperatur in das Dimer und höhere Oligomere um. In nachstehender Formel ist die Oligomerisierung beispielhaft an 1, l-Dimethyl-l-sila-2-oxa- cyclopentan beschrieben:
Durch Destillation kann das Monomer jedoch wieder zurückgewonnen werden. Das Produkt kann jedoch auch in Form seines Dimers oder als Oligomer problemlos für nachfolgende Synthesen eingesetzt werden.
Alle vorstehenden Symbole der vorstehenden Formeln weisen ihre Bedeutungen jeweils unabhängig voneinander auf. In allen Formeln ist das Siliciumatom vierwertig.
In den folgenden Beispielen sind, soweit nicht anders angegeben, alle Mengen- und Prozentangaben auf das Gewicht bezogen, alle Drücke 0,10 MPa (abs.) und alle Temperaturen 20°C.
Beispiel 1 : Synthese von Di ethylsilylallylether
In einem trockenen 1 1 Rundhalskolben, ausgestattet mit Rückflußkühler, Tropftrichter, Innenthermometer und Einleitungsrohr werden 125.0 g Dimethylchlorsilan (1.32 mol) in 500 ml (312 g) n-Pentan vorgelegt. Bei einer Temperatur von -10 °C werden unter Kühlung und Rührung so zügig 75.0 g (1.29 mol, 2 Mol-% Unterschuß) Allylalkohol hinzugetropft (exotherme Reaktion) , daß die Temperatur gehalten werden kann. Nachfolgend werden durch das Einleitungsrohr insgesamt 33.5 g (1.97 mol, 50 Mol-% Überschuß) Ammoniak (gasförmig) innerhalb von 2 h in die gerührte Reaktionsmischung eingeleitet. Nach Entfernung der Kühlung wird weitere 60 min zur Reaktionsvervollständigung gerührt und auf Raumtemperatur erwärmt. Das ausgefallene Ammoniumchlorid wird über eine Druckfilternutsche abfiltriert und der Niederschlag mit n-Pentan gründlich nachgewaschen Alternativ kann die Rohproduktlösung in eine gekühlte Vorlage umkondensiert werden.
Bei einer weiteren Alternative wird das gebildete Ammoniumchlorid durch Zugabe von Wasser in Lösung gebracht und die wäßrige Phase nachfolgend abgetrennt. Zurück bleibt die Rohproduktlösung in n-Pentan.
Durch Kapillargaschromatographie (KGC) wird der vollständige Verbrauch der Edukte und die Bildung des gewünschten Sila- Ethers in einer Reinheit von über 90 % angezeigt.
Nach Entfernung des Solvens n-Pentan wird aus dem Rohprodukt unter Verwendung einer Vigreuxkolonne bei einer Sumpftemperatur von ca . 90-100 °C und einer Kopftemperatur von 82-84 °C unter Normaldruck das gewünschte Produkt in einer Reinheit von ca . 95-97 % (KGC-Analytik) isoliert . Aus 75. 0 g ( 0 . 79 mol)
Di ethylchlorsilan und 43. 0 g ( 0. 74 mol ) Allylalkohol wird nach Destillation 62 . 5 g (Ausbeute : 73 % d . Th . ) Dimethylsilylallylether gewonne .
Das Produkt besitzt eine relativ hohe Flüchtigkeit, so daß im Labormaßstab große Mengen an Produkt bei der Destillation verloren gehen .
Beispiel 2 : Synthese von l , l-Dimethyl-l-sila-2-oxa-cyclopentan aus der Rohproduktlösung von Beispiel 1 Eine durch Umkondensation oder Waschen mit Wasser von
Ammoniumchlorid befreite Rohproduktlösung (analog Beispiel 1 ) , die 150 g ( 1.29 mol) Dimethylsilylallylether enthält, wird zu einer Lösung des Katalysators μ-Dichlorotetraethylendirhodium (38 mg, 0 . 097 mmol, entspr. 75 ppm bezogen auf die Einwaage Silylether) in 50 ml n-Pentan bei ca . 35 °C so zudosiert, daß die Reaktionslösung siedet . Nach beendigter Zudosierung läßt man die Rohproduktlösurig unter Rühren auf Raumtemperatur abkühlen . Der Katalysator wird durch Filtration über neutralem AI2O3 oder über Tonsil® entfernt und das Rohprodukt (Reinheit gemäß GC- Analytik ca . 90 %) nach Entfernung des Lösungsmittels durch fraktionierte Destillation auf gereinigt .
Während der Destillation muß die Vorlage gekühlt werden, um das flüchtige Produkt möglichst vollständig isolieren zu können .
Das Produkt ist bei Raumtemperatur nicht lagerstabil, sondern geht allmählich in die dimere bzw . oligomere Lagerform über .
Über 100 °C tritt sofortige Polymerisation zu Oligo- und
Polymeren ein . In verdünnter Lösung ( z . B . in n-Pentan) bleibt
der cyclische Monomer auch über längere Zeit lagerfähig (insbesondere unter Kühlung) .
Nach Entfernung des Solvens n-Pentan und fraktionierter Destillation wird 112 g 1, l-Dimethyl-l-sila-2-oxa-cyclopentan (CAS-Nummer: 3292-88-4) erhalten. Dies entspricht einer Ausbeute von 75 % d. Th.
Claims
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Allylsilylether der allgemeinen Formel (1)

R1R2HSi-0-CR3R4-R5C=CRβR7 (1),
bei dem ein Chlorsilan der allgemeinen Formel (2)
10 R1R2HSiCl (2),
mit Allylalkohol der allgemeinen Formel (3)
HO-CR3R4-R5C=CRβR7 (3),
15 und Ammoniak in Kohlenwasserstoff mit einem Siedepunkt von 20 bis 200 °C bei 1 bar umgesetzt wird, wobei
R^ und R2 jeweils einen Alkyl-, Aralkyl oder Alkarylrest mit 1- 10 Kohlenstoffatomen,
20 R3 und R4 jeweils Wasserstoff oder einen Alkyl-, Aralkyl oder Alkarylrest mit 1-10 Kohlenstoffatomen
R5 Wasserstoff oder einen Alkylrest mit 1-6 Kohlenstoffatomen und R^ und R7 jeweils Wasserstoff oder einen Alkylrest mit 1-6 25 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem aliphatische
Kohlenwasserstoffe mit einem Siedepunkt von 30 bis 150°C eingesetzt werden.

3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, bei dem Allyldimethylsilylether hergestellt wird. Verfahren zur Herstellung von l-Sila-2-oxa-cyclopentan der allgemeinen Formel (4)
bei dem im ersten Schritt ein Chlorsilan der allgemeinen Formel ( 2 )

mit Allylalkohol der allgemeinen Formel ( 3 )
HO-CR3R4-R5C=CRβR7 (3]
und Ammoniak in Kohlenwasserstoff mit einem Siedepunkt von 20 bis 200°C bei 1 bar zu Allylsilylether der allgemeinen Formel (1)
R1R2HSi-0-CR3R4-R5C=CRδR7 (1)
umgesetzt wird und im zweiten Schritt das Reaktionsprodukt aus dem ersten Schritt ohne Isolierung des Allylsilylethers der allgemeinen Formel (1) mit Edelmetallkatalysator umgesetzt wird, wobei R-*-, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 und R7 die in Anspruch 1 angegebenen Bedeutungen aufweisen.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, bei dem die
Edelmetallkatalysatoren ausgewählt werden aus Metallen und Verbindungen von Rhodium, Iridium, Palladium und Platin. Verfahren nach Anspruch 4 oder 5, bei dem 1, 1-Dimethyl-l- sila-2-oxa-cyclopentan hergestellt wird.
