Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft optische Gläser der folgenden Zusam­mensetzung: 5 - 35 Gew.-% SiO2 ; 55 - 88 Gew.-% PbO; 0 - 10 Gew.-% B2O 3; 0 - 5 Gew.-% Na2O; 0 - 5 Gew.-% K2O; 0 - 10 Gew.-% TiO2; 0 - 10 Gew.-% ZrO2; 0 - 10 Gew.-% La2O3; 0 - 10 Gew.-% BaO; 0 - 10 Gew.-% ZnO mit der Massgabe, dass Σ(Na2O; K2O) : 0 ≤ x ≤ 8 and E (TiO2; ZrO2; La2O3; ZnO; BaO) : x ≤ 15 beträgt. Die Gläser sind be­sonders für Projektionszwecke mit LCD, insbesonders rLCD-Pro­jektoren geeignet. Sie entstammen dem Schwerflint- and Lan­thanschwerflintbereich and zeichnen sich durch einen gegen Null gehenden spannungsoptische Koeffizient bei trotzdem gu­ter chemischer Beständigkeit und ausreichender Knoop-Härte sowie guter Schmelz- und Bearbeitbarkeit aus. Sie sind daher zum Einsatz in Applikationsfeldern geeignet, die von geringen spannungsoptischen Effekten profitieren.
