Abstract

An air conditioner, comprising an indoor unit (Z1) having a casing (1) buried in or suspended from a ceiling (50), an indoor panel (2) installed on the underside of the casing (1) in the state of being exposed to indoors, an air flow changer (52) for changing the properties of air flow blown out from outlet ports (4), and a controller (53) controlling the air flow changer (52) based on the output information of an infrared sensor (15), the indoor panel (2) further comprising an inlet port (3) and the plurality of outlet ports (4) surrounding the inlet port (3) in a square shape and having rectangular shapes, wherein the infrared sensor (15) is installed in the exposed portion of the indoor panel (2).
