CONSTITUTION:A first arithmetic means 23 of computing a vertical temperature difference DELTATn (=Ta-Tfn) in each blowoff direction from an intake air temper ature Ta detected by a temperature sensor 20 and each floor surface tempera ture Tfn detected by an infrared sensor 21, and a second arithmetic means 24 of computing the average value DELTATav (=SIGMADELTATn/n) of the vertical temperature difference, are provided. Moreover, a third arithmetic means 27 of computing estimated air temperatures T(H)n, m at a prescribed height position H/m (H: a height from a floor surface) from the floor surface, and a second control means 29 of controlling a swing motor 14 to direct a blowoff air flow downward when each of the estimated air temperatures T(H)n, m is judged to be smaller [deviation values (DELTAtn, m)] than a room temperature set value Ts by a second judging means 28 of comparing each of the estimated air temperatures T(H)n, m obtained with the room temperature set value Ts, are provided.

(Problems to be Solved by Prior Art and Inventions) Comfortable living indoors can be achieved to some extent by using air conditioners, but in recent years, in order to achieve a more comfortable indoor living environment, air conditioners have been Attempts have been made to attach a sensor or the like and control the amount and direction of the blown air flow using a microcomputer or the like based on a signal from the temperature sensor or the like.

Now, in the case of an air conditioner that is installed in a high place such as the ceiling and has multiple air outlets, the conventional control method detects the air temperature near the air conditioner itself, and then calculates the air temperature as the average indoor temperature. It was common practice to control the air flow from an air conditioner by regarding it as the air temperature. However, the actual indoor temperature distribution depends on the structure of the room, the arrangement of furniture, the number of occupants, etc., and therefore cannot be represented by the air temperature near the main body of the air conditioner. Therefore, with the conventional control method, there remains the problem that a fully satisfactory indoor living environment cannot be obtained.

Therefore, in order to solve this problem, it has been proposed to detect the indoor air temperature distribution using an infrared sensor, etc., and control the air flow of the air conditioner accordingly (for example, , see Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 175540/1982). However, like ceiling-embedded air conditioners, they are installed in high places such as the ceiling, and are multi-directional (
For example, in a 2-, 3-, or 4-direction blowout type air conditioner, there is no technology that detects the vertical temperature distribution in multiple directions corresponding to the blowout direction and controls the blowout airflow based on the detected information. Not established. Furthermore, no technology has been established for remotely sensing air temperature from an air conditioner to achieve uniform temperature distribution indoors.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points.
For example, in a 2-, 3-, or 4-direction type air conditioner, the vertical temperature distribution in multiple directions corresponding to the blowing direction is detected, and the blowing air flow is controlled based on the detected information. Therefore, the purpose is to enable uniform and comfortable indoor temperature control.

After the heating operation starts, the intake air temperature Ta (for example, 18° C.) detected by the temperature sensor 20 and the infrared sensor 21 and each floor surface temperature T fn (for example, T
f, = 12°C, T f, -10'C1Tf3 = 13°C,
Tf, = 11'c) is input to the controller 22 (step S), the control by the controller 22 proceeds to step S, and the first calculation means 23 calculates the upper and lower temperature difference ΔTn (i.e., ΔT , = 6℃, ΔT

Based on the calculation result, the second calculation means 24 calculates the average value ΔTav of the upper and lower temperature difference (i.e., 6+ 8+ 5+ 7/4

The control proceeds to step S3, where the average value ΔT av (-6,5°C) of the upper and lower temperature difference and the set value ΔTa of the upper and lower temperature difference are determined.

is controlled. After the blowout air volume is controlled by the fan motor 7 in this way, the control by the controller 22 proceeds to step S5, in which each floor surface temperature Tfn detected by the infrared sensor 21 and each obtained by the first calculation means 23 are calculated. Upper and lower temperature difference ΔTn in the blowing direction (i.e. ΔT, = 6°C, ΔT, -8°C, ΔT3-5°C, Δ
T4-7℃), the third calculation means 27 calculates the estimated air temperature T (H)n, +++ (12+6/
2 = 15℃, 8,000 6/2 - 11℃, 5 + 6/2 = 8℃
, 7+6/2=10°C) are calculated. Next, the control by the controller 22 proceeds to step S8, where each of the estimated air temperatures T(H)n- (i.e., 15°C, 11°C,
8℃, IO'c) and room temperature set point TS (e.g. 25℃)
are compared by the second determining means 28, and if each estimated air temperature ΔT (H)n, a+ is determined to be smaller than the room temperature set value Ts, the deviation value tn, m (i.e., 10
℃, 14℃, 17℃, 15℃).
9, the swing motor 14 is controlled to direct the direction of the blown air flow downward by a predetermined amount. When the control of the swing motor 14 is finished, the control by the controller 22 proceeds to step S7, and the height ratio m from the floor surface F is set to m.
/2, the process returns to step S5,
Blowing air control in the case of m=H/4 is performed in the same manner as described above. The above control is repeated until m=H/8. Note that if the second determination means 28 determines that T (H)n,m>Ts in step S, the swing motor 14 is not controlled, and the height ratio m from the floor surface F is Control by controller 22 is returned to step S, without changing .

As described above, according to this embodiment, during heating operation, if it is determined that the average value Tav of the temperature difference between the upper and lower indoor temperatures is larger than the set value Tavs, the fan motor 7 is activated to increase the volume of blown air. Therefore, the air volume can be controlled based on the average value ΔTav obtained by averaging the vertical temperature difference ΔTn corresponding to the air flow from each air outlet 5°5.5.5. , uniform indoor air temperature can be controlled for comfort.

Further, according to this embodiment, in addition to the above-mentioned blowout air volume control, when the estimated air temperature T(H)n,m at a predetermined height position H/m from the floor surface F is determined to be smaller than the room temperature setting value, Since the swing motor 14 is controlled by the second control means 29 so that the direction of the blowing airflow is directed downward, it is possible to control the blowing airflow corresponding to each blowing direction, resulting in energy saving. It also increases the degree of freedom in installing the air conditioner.
