- the nail piece collector 10 is characterized in that: a pair of left and right side members 11a and 1 lb are coupled through upper and lower coupling members 13 and 14; the upper coupling member 13 has a hole 15 correspondingly to the hole 21 and is assembled through a hole 16 by means of a rivet 5; and a front portion of the lower coupling member 14 is not bonded to the left and right side members but a rear portion of it is bonded to the left and right side members so as to make the front portion pressed during a clipping of a nail by pressing the bar 4.

- a nail piece collector 10 of FIG. 3 is assembled for collecting the cut nail pieces into between the upper and lower members.
- the grinding member is pivotally secured around a fastening means 6, and has the cover 32 on its tip so as to cover the hole 21.
- a pair of left and right side members 11a and 1 lb are coupled together through upper and lower coupling members 13 and 14.
- the upper coupling member 13 is provided with a hole 15 correspondingly with the hole 21, and another hole 16 for being fastened to the rivet 5.
- the front portion of the lower coupling member 14 is not bonded to the left and right side members, so that the front portion can be pressed during the clipping of the nails by pressing the pressing bar 4.
- the rear portion of the lower coupling member 14 is bonded to the left and right side members.
- the lower coupling member 14 also has a hole (not illustrated) so that the rivet 5 can pass through it.
- the hole of the lower coupling member has to be elliptical.
- the front portion of the lower coupling member is made short, so that the rivet would not pass through it.
- the left and right side members 11a and 1 lb of the nail piece collector are respectively provided with side recesses 12a and 12b for respectively receiving the side proj ections 22 of the upper member.
- the pair of the left and right side members 11a and 1 lb have to be designed such that they should surround the lower member so as to make the lower member 1 inserted into between the left and right side members during the clipping of nails by pressing the pressing bar 4. In this manner, the nail clipper smoothly works when the pressing bar 4 is pressed.
- the nail piece collector may be made of a metal or may be formed by an injection molding.
- the front portion of the lower coupling member should be pressable during the clipping of nails by pressing the pressing bar 4, the lower coupling member should be made of an elastic material. This can be easily carried out by those ordinarily skilled in the art.

- This nail piece collector 110 can be easily fabricated by an injection molding. This nail piece collector can be assembled to the sides of the already assembled main body of the nail clipper, and therefore, the assembling is generally easy.
- FIG. 7 is a schematic sectional view showing that the nail piece collector of FIG. 5 or 6 is assembled to the main body of the nail clipper of FIG. 4.
- a slot 113 is formed into each of the insertion protuberances 112a and 112b, and therefore, once the insertion protuberance is inserted into the hole 23, it is perfectly assembled, thereby denying any detachment.
- FIG. 6 is a schematic perspective view of another example of the nail piece collector 210 assembled to the nail clipper of FIG. 4.
- This nail piece collector 210 includes a pair of left and right side members 211a and 21 lb in which insertion protuberances 212a and 212b are formed for being coupled to the holes 23. Further, the side member 21 la is provided with a female insertion protuberance 213, while the other side member 21 lb is provided with a male insertion protuberance 214.
- the pair of left and right side members 211a and 21 lb have to be designed such that they should surround the lower member 1 so as to make the lower member 1 inserted into between the left and right side members 211a and 21 lb during the clipping of nails by pressing the pressing bar 4.
- This nail piece collector 210 can be easily fabricated by an injection molding. This nail piece collector can be assembled to the sides of the already assembled main body of the nail clipper, and therefore, the assembling is generally easy.

- a slot 113 is formed into each of the insertion protuberances 212a and 212b, and therefore, once the insertion protuberance is inserted into the hole 23 of the side projection 22, it is perfectly assembled, thereby denying any detachment.
- the cover 32 which is formed on the tip of the grinding member 3 closes the hole 21 of the upper member 1 so as to prevent the cut nail pieces from leaping out astray.
- the grinding member is pivoted to open the hole 21, so that the collected nail pieces can be dumped out through the hole 15.
