Abstract

Graphitierte Kathodenblöcke zur Herstellung von Aluminium durch elektrolytische Reduktion von Aluminiumoxid in einem Bad von geschmolzenem Kryolith, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Kathodenblöcke über ihre Länge ein V-förmiges Profil ihres elektrischen Widerstandes aufweisen, wobei der Widerstand zu den Enden hin zunimmt und in der Mitte der Kathodenblöcke eine Unstetigkeitsstelle aufweist, Verfahren zu deren Herstellung und ihre Verwendung bei der Aluminium-Herstellung.
