Abstract

The invention related to a process for drying boards and can be used for wood processing factories for producing boards, furniture and houses. The inventive method for drying boards consists in forming the package of boards and producing a forced circulation of air therein. The boards being vertically arranged in the package, the air of the forced circulation is directed from the bottom upward along the faces and edges thereof. The ends and the part of faces of the board are closed by a water-emulsion substance which exhibits adhesive properties with respect to a damp wooden board. Said substance is applied to the part of a board in the form of stripes which pass above the core of each face of the board away from one to another end thereof. Said invention makes it possible to ensure an even drying of the boards, a high rate of drying and to prevent the deformation of the boards and the crack formation thereon.
