Abstract

The plant composition to be used for smoking consists of a mixture of dried, shredded leaves of the plants Tussilago farfara, Mentha piperita, Fragaria vesca, Asperula odorata to which an aromatic additive of one or more of the following fruit are added: apple, strawberry, blueberry, peach, blackcurrant, raspberry, cherry, sour cherry, apricot and blackberry. The composition does not contain components harmful to human health, therefore it is used as tobacco substitute.

Description

PLANT COMPOSITION FOR SMOKING Technical Field
The invention relates to plant composition which does not contain tobacco. The composition is produced of dried leaves of nicotine-free plants.
According to the sixth issue of The International Classification of Patents the invention refers to the field of technology classified as:
A24B 15/16 - Chemical features of tobacco substitutes,
A61K 9/72 - Medicinal preparations for smoking or inhaling. Background Art
In a tobacco leaf which is used for producing products for smoking there are substances like nicotine, that are harmful to the human health. Benzipyren is developed in the process of burning out of tobacco, which causes many respiratory and circulatory system diseases.
It has been proved that all sorts of tobacco based products are harmful to the human health. All products for smoking offered on the current market contain tobacco. Some of them contain a reduced amount of tobacco and harmful tobacco mixtures, while there are no products where tobacco has been excluded entirely.
In a patent document WO9311676 a plant composition for smoking is described as a tobacco substitute. The composition contains the plant Alchemilla vulgaris and/or Myrtus communis with addition of an aromatic additive of one or more plants of the group
Asperula odorata, Mentha piperita, Salvia officinalis, Thymus vulgaris and Eucalyptus globulus.
Disclosure of the Invention
According to the invention the plant composition for smoking consists of a mixture of dried leaves of the following plants:

To the leaves mixture of these plants aromatic additives made of natural fruit are added, like apple, strawberry, blueberry, peach, blackcurrant, raspberry, cherry, sour cherry, apricot and blackberry. The substantial composition of the plant mixture for smoking according to the invention is fundamentally different from the plant composition for smoking described in the patent document WO9311676, because not the same plants are used. According to the whole composition the mixtures are similar, because both of them contain the plants Asperula odorata and Mentha piperita. The composition of the invention contains these plants as the fundamental structure, while the composition descriebed in the patent document WO9311676 contains these plants as aromatic additives.
Leaves of the plants Tussilago farfara, Mentha piperita, Fragaria vesca and Asperula odorata are gathered during the period of ripeness, dried by natural circulation at a ventilated and shady place until the complete loss of the surplus humidity. The dried leaves of the particular plants are shredded to dimensions suitable for processing of smoke rolls. The dried and shredded leaves of particular plants are mixed into a mixture to which aromatic additives made of fruit will be added during the mixing. The equally aromatized mixture of plant products is processed to cigarettes or cigars, that are packed for market. From the medical point of view the best results are achieved with the following composition:

Products for smoking made of this composition do not contain ingredients harmful to human health. They successfully replace the harmful tobacco products.

Claims

1. The plant composition for smoking, characterized in that the composition includes a mixture of dried, shredded leaves of Tussilago farfara, Mentha piperita, Fragaria vesca, Asperula odorata and aromatic additives of one or more fruit like apple, strawberry, blueberry, peach, blackcurrant , raspberry, cherry, sour cherry , apricot and blackberry.

The plant composition for smoking according to the patent claim 1, characterized in that the particular components in the mixture are comprised in the following weight percentage: approximately 31 % Tussilago farfara, approximately 11 % Mentha piperita, approximately 31 % Fragaria vesca, approximately 21 % Asperula odorata, approximately 6 % aromatic additive of one or more fruit, like: apple, strawberry, blueberry, peach, blackcurrant, raspberry, cherry, sour cherry , apricot and blackberry.

The process of obtaining the plant composition to be used for smoking according to the patent claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the leaves of the plants Tussilago farfara, Mentha piperita, Fragaria vesca, Asperula odorata are gathered during the period of ripeness, dried by natural circulation at a ventilated and shady place until the complete loss of the surplus humidity, dried and shredded leaves of particular plants are mixed into a homogeneous mixture to which previously prepared aromatic additives made of fruit are added during the mixing.
4. The plant composition for smoking according to the patent claims 1 and 3, characterized in that it is used in producing products for smoking in a form of cigarettes or cigars as a tobacco substitute.
